First and for most, the service was GREAT. I had the seafood soup and fish and chip platter. It was perfect, the seafood soup... was chunky full of flavor. No complinta what so ever. My wife had the French dip sandwich, there is nothing like this in thistown. Again, the food is unbelievable. 5 stars all the way. Great job Chef Tom. Read more
I showed up hungry and left more then satisfied. I was served by Jennifer and she had amazing customer service, not to mention... the food was outstanding. From presentation to flavor this place is a must if you're wondering if you should stop by, dont thinkjust go! You wont regret it. Read more
EDIT****I've got food poisoning**** Our first visit to The Hungry Bear was tonight We will NOT be returning. My husband... ordered a burger and a sweet potato (which he paid extra for) The burger was so overcooked that it was crunchy. The potato wasso dry that the skin fell off of it in sheets and literally disintegrated when touched. I ordered the 38.99 Cajun basket toshare with another member of our party. For 40$, frankly we expected more. The meal was to include corn We got 1 1/4 piece toshare between us, the equivalent of 1 sliced sausage, 1 sliced potato, about 15 shrimp, and about 10 crawfish. We also got crablegs 3 of them Thin ones.. I've been to 10$ buffets that offer meatier crab . A member of our party ordered a grilled cheese.It was so overcooked that it cut his gums. For 89$ we expected far better We definitely won't be going back and I strongly urgeyou to spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Absolutely awful. Read more
This is an absolutely killer restaurant! It is huge inside, features a bar area as well as a couple different dining rooms. The... waitress staff was excellent and attentive. We never felt ignored. When the food arrived we were amazed! The Cajun feast for 2was great. We'll seasoned with a huge portion. The steaks were cooked to perfection as well. I highly recommend for a quick eator the entire family type meal! Read more
