Took my friend visiting from out of town here for dinner. We both were happy with our food and the service we got. I had the... Brisket Stack sandwich with Mac and cheese as the side. The sandwich was awesome with a lot of flavor the meat and cheese wasover stuffed the bin. The mac and cheese was some of the best mac and cheese I had at a restaurant. My friend had the BBQ PorkNachos, which I got to taste and they were really good. The server did a great job. Kept our drinks full and quickly broughtour order to us. My family and I are from Maine and recently visited Hendersonville, NC. Our hotel highly recommended flat rock wood room for... dinner. We had to make reservations as this restaurant is extremely popular and busy. The, staff was very cooperative andsqueezed us in. When we arrived sure enough they were full of very happy customers. My daughter loves buffalo wings and wasgoing to purchase them however our server highly recommended the wood fired buffalo pizza. We ordered three pizzas. An heirloomtomato a wild mushroom brisket pizza and a buffalo pizza. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY BY ALL 3. My 15 year old daughter watched them fireall the pizzas and the chefs were very friendly making sure she could see the entire process. The buffalo pizza was the best ofall 3 it had an incredible flavor. We all had their fresh house made strawberry pie dessert to die for. we most definitely willbe returning before we go home. We have been hearing rave reviews about this place, and we're SO GLAD we listened! Our first visit was Easter Sunday and the... food and service did not disappoint. We already can't wait to go back to try their pizza! The photos are of our appetizers:Their signature pretzel and the fried grit balls with their sauce. I wish I had thought to take pictures of our entrees, as theywere INSANELY DELICIOUS! I had the mac & cheese topped with BBQ. It was a VERY generous portion! One of the best places we ate while visiting Asheville, NC. The food was delicious, great price, great and quick service and... nice size portions. Great food here! Don?t let the 4 stars fool you. The food was on point, great pizza and great BBQ. The only reason for the 4... stars and not the 5 stars is strictly because of the gentleman that greeted us when we came in, there was a little confusion andhe was not the most polite individual. Not the best communication at first, but after that the service was great.
