I gave three stars because the staff are always friendly. We used to be regular customers of Monty?s. ( I try not to be critical... of independent small business. It was unavoidable in this situation.) We visited a few months ago and noticed the quality ofmeat wasn?t what it used to be. Today we visited and the subs went in the trash can. The turkey and ham was worse than Walmartdeli meat, and that?s bad. For me a good sub must be assembled with high quality meat. Maybe they should consider using BoarsHead?! Read more
If you are looking for an Italian or American sub shop, this is it. In more detail, I got the full monte with quite a few of... their ingredients on white bread. The bread was rich and tasty while staying together in that chewy strong way you want sandwichbread to be. The cold cuts were sliced fresh for the subs, and their various veggies and toppings tasted very fresh and actuallyflavorful, not just weak and filling. Also, the subs are packed well, a small is actually truly a great size, and a large is aneasy two meals for me. The flavors were also balanced well, even when I asked for a bunch of different things. The subs cost the same as Subway, and are 7x better. The wheat bread is incredible. The taproom is way cool. I had a Mountain... Candy with my Italian today. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra block to Monte's. Read more
Got take out on our trip to North Carolina. So many restaurants were closed in Hendersonville on a Tuesday night. Luckily we... found Monte?s. We shared a Jedi Order Wrap. It had a generous portion of Turkey, Millennium Falcon mustard, avocado, bacon,lettuce, tomato, and marinated onions. Big enough to share. We also shared a chef salad. It had the usual ham, turkey, cheese,tomatoes, onions and of course lettuce. With a big cookie it was about $22. Cookie was outstanding too. Location is in ashopping area of a few shops. Read more
Awesome staff and amazing Sammies. Drinks and chips are a great value! Not jacked up to $3 a pop like everywhere else.
