Exceptional sushi! We went all out with the boat! Alaska roll, sunflower roll, sunburst roll, spicy salmon roll, triple roll,... and rainbow roll. So many specialty options! Cassandra, our waitress was wonderful.???? Our food came quickly and was super delicious. Husband and I ordered water with... lemon. Spicy crab salad, Superman roll, Geisha Roll, flying fish roe, and chicken fried. Ticket totalled $54. We had to get togo boxes. Enough left over for us to have another meal! I started timing at 11:12 am, that's when we placed our order. I hadthe spicy crab salad in front of me at 11:20. We were still enjoying the salad when chicken fried rice was placed on table.Sushi took a little longer, but we had good conversation going and my dining partner was a pleasure (good looking too), so Ididn't mind waiting. ???? This was mine and my husbands first time here. We brought our 7 year old daughter, 2 year old daughter and their 11 year old... cousin. We ordered about 6 sushi rolls which all came out together (completely normal) just hard to tell what was what so had noidea who ordered which roll. Sushi was good, but not worth the prices. I do like they had a large selection. I got the bento box“D” which was steak, scallops in teriyaki sauce, vegetables, steamed rice, Cali roll, and some kind of shrimp. The scallopswere great, steak would have been better but it was not cooked how I ordered it. Way over cooked. Waitress not attentive. Wewanted more drinks, but she didn’t even come back for us to order any. If she did, she’d grab a empty plate and go, givingus no time to ask for anything. No more cocktails, refills etc. just not very friendly overall. I would come back, with adifferent waitress, and just get steak and scallops. Read more

I wanted something to eat for lunch so a friend who lives up here suggested Umi Restaurant. I was surprised with how fast the... food was prepared and brought out to us. And the sushi was incredible and very flavorable. I'm hoping to return before I flyback home. There's a few other dishes I want to try. Plus the cost was very acceptable. Read more
Stopped by for dinner on our way home. Food is delicious and fresh. Everything looks and feels clean. Received great service.... The family is happy. The only downside is that they only have one restroom so ppl have to fall in line outside the door. Itdoesn’t reflect the fine dining restaurant i had in mind. Other than that, everything is great. Umi is not your typical Japanese dining experience. Or, at least not like I have experienced in my lifetime. As the sign states,... "Japanese Fine Dining". It seems more like something that one might experience in a big city like Dallas, New York, or TampaBay. The dining experience was excellent. The food tasted great. The presentation was perfection. The service was top shelf. Theteriyaki sauce was incredible, as was what my wife calls the "white sauce", which you have to ask for along with extra teriyakisauce. Everything was fresh and delicious. There are restaurants that I've been to that are in the "fine dining" category that Ienjoyed, but ultimately wouldn't do a return visit. Umi isn't like that for me. We will definitely go back.
