I moved from Cali and was worried I wouldn't find decent restraunts out here. They weren't very good when I first tried it But... I've noticed a huge approvement in the last year that I've been going. This last visit had me finally rating them. I asked forsome really spicy chicken soup and man, did they deliver! So many Hispanic restaurants in kansas always seem afraid to spicethings up. So it was a happy surprise. Read more

We had a bad experience. For one our waitress didn't speak English, she came took our drink order and just nodded her head yes... when ask her a question. She left. Young man comes and saids, may I take your drink order. And we told him we all ready did .Well he says, I'm going to be your waiter, so when came time to give my order, I said, Coffee, and tells me they don't havecoffee. So order coke. Young man comes with drinks on tray ad spills one on our boss and chips his phone. He doesn't apologizeand boss starts using napkins as he is walking away and turns around and says, oh do you want a towel ? Well yes that would benice. Hot sauce taste like tomato sauce. So ask for hotter sauce about the same. So as for guacamole dip and looks like theytook a guacamole and smash it. The food was okay nothing to brag about. They charge boss 61 dollar , for what??? Being from Texas i went out on a limb and tried a Mexican restaurant in Kansas. It wasn't horrible but I probably won't be back.
Always enjoy the food here. The employee's are very respectful and polite. It's a local family owned operation and they're... always working on a project to continue to improve the restaurant. Authentic Mexican food! The name of the restaurant has beenupdated to La Isla, still the same Great food. Read more
