After a long day of seminars we were tired hungry and headed back to Albany. We didn?t want rest stop food so we found this... place We asked in and we?re told they were not taking anyone without a reservation due to a large party. Nothing posted tosay this so we sat at the bar Bartender overwhelmed as she had to serve the large wedding Party and bar patrons so service wasslow. We ordered wings extra crispy Utica greens calamari and seafood linguini. Great lunch specials and dinners. Moderate prices nice view of the canal and ferry rides up and down the canal. Big KOA... campgrounds next to restaurant and beautiful big gift shop must stop in to see all the great assortment of products. Read more
Cannot say enough how much we enjoyed this establishment. The entire staff was pleasant from when we walked in until we left. ... We are from out of town and stopped in on a busy Saturday night and didnt realize we would need a reservation the staff was verypleasant in telling us an exact time we could be seated as well as giving us the option of eating at the bar. As it was just myhusband and I we chose to eat at the bar. The bartender was extremely pleasant the whole time we were there occasionalconversing with us. On top of the food being delicous it was brought out quickly and at the right times. I always hate whenthey bring out the appetizers salads and meals at once. This was all also perfectly spread out timing wise. I really can't sayenough about how great of an experience it was for us and plan on returning next trip. Delicious food. I've never seen scallops so big! The shrimp were also huge too. I love that it's right on the river. Great... atmosphere and good service. We had a group of 10 of us without a reservation. We experienced Quick Service none the less. Andthe waitress let us do Separate Checks. Read more
My family was in town over the weekend because it was my late grandfather?s birthday. It was his first heavenly birthday and... everyone got together for it. Instead of going to Applebees like always, reservations were made at this place, or so we thought.My aunt accidentally called and made reservations at the wrong place. When we showed up and were informed we didn?t havereservations, we were told we?d have to wait about a half hour, so we began to do that. As we did that, the owner began tocomplain about a group of 10 just showing up unannounced and expecting to get served. And he went on. And on. And on. To thepoint where we all just left. I understand his frustration, but we didn?t just show up unannounced. We tried to makereservations and it was an honest mistake. We were willing to wait until we heard him continuously complaining about ourexperience in his establishment. They lost out on a lot of money and tips because of an unprofessional owner and none of us willbe going back. Read more
