Literally the worst restaurant experience I?ve ever had in Hernando. It?s amazing that place is still open. After an hour of... being completely ignored, we finally left. This was after we , spoke to the manager, and then nicely requested a server. Theonly reason we stayed that long was because my 11 year old chose the restaurant. She was upset at the end of the night. Not ok.Get it together people. Read more

Food was great, restaurant was clean, fair prices, but waitress was dense. She missed half of our order, never refilled drinks until... dinner was over and then put gratuity on the check on a table of four. Was not happy about that! She was lucky I was in a hurryto attend a event or her manager would have gotten a ear full. Be cautious when dining here. Read more

Our experience today was excellent. I ordered a salmon sushi with avocado. It was tasty as always. They have Bragg?s liquid... aminos as an alternative to regular soy sauce. Our hibachi chef went out of his way to cook our fried rice, steak, shrimp andvegetables with the liquid aminos. The rest of our crew got regular soy sauce. We left with full bellies and left overs to boot.#glutenfree #hibachi #yellowfin Read more

Horrible experience. I went today and had the worst experience ever ! Our server torrie acted like we just didn?t exist or... something . I never got a refill or if we are okay after we got our food . Another server had to give me a refill like howoutrageous that she walks past us ! Then on top of that overcharged me for a drink I never had and didn?t even say I?m sorry?Like what in the world she needs training on how to take care of tables and overall customer service. Geezz very upset with thisvisit . Read more

Should be 4 or 5 stars because this is a really good restaurant that I have loved for years (since it was Kyoto), but they will... have to earn that on my next visit. OK, the good ... the food was really good and our chef was great. It was just my youngdaughter and I at our table, and she got a good show. Our server did a good job overall. Now the not so good ... We got there at4pm on a Friday. They were not at all busy - almost empty really - but it still took 5 minutes to seat us and another nearly 10minutes for a server to come around, even though there were a dozen teenage employees standing around not doing much of anythingexcept chatting. They didn't have any ginger dressing made for the salad so my choices were either wait for them to make some orsettle for ranch (which I did). Ordered an avocado roll - possible the easiest sushi to make - and had to wait 15 minutes forit. I've been in the restaurant business, and I know that when you are over-staffed during a dead period it's hard to keepeveryone busy, but I think they could have done a better job of prepping for a Friday night (the busiest night at ANYrestaurant). For $67 I expected a higher level of service. I hope the manager reads this and has a conversation with his/herFriday dinner shift ... Read more

Pretty good good. We had sashimi(entree), gyoza dumplings, and bento box. All our food was pretty good. What I like was the... option for sashimi instead of sushi. Service was fine. Read more

My husband said it was the worst sushi he has ever had. He loves sushi! He didn't get any silverware or chopsticks. He also... didn't get any soy sauce. I wasn't very hungry and ordered the Yakisoba noodles appetizer. It was $6 and ok. Tasted and lookedjust like $0.40 Ramen. The waitress was nice. My husband says every place in Southaven has way better sushi than this, even thebuffet. Read more

Honestly? 5 star service, food, and restaurant! The staff most of the time are attentive, diligent, and caring. The food is... always wonderful, and I have ordered take-out A LOT over the years. I have only encountered minor issues with the staff/foodquality. However, I might be biased due to this being the only sushi bar in the city and it being my favorite restauranthere. The only "complaint" I really have is the menu. While I enjoy what they have to offer, it's quite limited and genericlike most sushi restaurants around DeSoto County. "Rice, soup, meat, fish." I think Yellowfin should expand their menu with moreunique recipes. They should consider spreading out their soup noodles/flavors such as, but not limited to; soba, ramen, pho, andudon. A lot of people here sadly think the "instant ramen" you find at your local store is how ramen actually tastes. They neverhad the pleasure of truly experiencing what ramen tastes like when well-prepared and seasoned. I also suggest adding takoyakiback onto the menu, as well as dangos and mochi. There are so many different recipes you can offer with takoyaki, and personallydangos and mochi would be a unique treat to offer our city, let alone county! I think adding these year-round delights wouldbuild up the menu and create more of a uniqueness to the restaurant and help it stand out more in a traditional way. Myadditional review: This is a picture of their Sashimi Combo (which also includes either a house soup or salad) from their SushiLunch Assortment Menu as well as a Spicy Seafood Udon Noodle Soup (which is A LOT bigger than it appears, highly suggest eatingit alone! You can also request it without the spice if you are sensitive/dislike spicyness, without veggies, or squid/calamari,etc.) Personally, I think they can do better with the broth in the soup. It definitely has room for improvement, as it'slacking in flavor. I give it a 4/10. Lastly, their sashimi is always a favorite of mine, I love their choice Read more
