I rarely leave reviews and I never leave negative reviews. A place has to stand out...so kudos to Takin' Thai. It' refreshing... when a business answers the phone kindly, is pleasant, and takes the time to listen carefully. The crew here understand"hospitality" - a simple, but lost art IMHO. Good people, good food, fair prices, and they appreciate YOU, the customer. Thanksfor setting a great example! You're our go-to Thai spot from now on! Read more

DELICIOUS!!!! AuthenticThai Food!!!! My family and I just moved here from Oregon. We tried some ?..other Thai food in the area.... We were very disappointed?? !!! Then we found this little hole in the wall. We are so happy, this is excellent Thai food. Ourfavorites are the curries in coconut milk, served with rice. Green curry and massaman curry are our favorites. Drunken Noodle &Pad Thai are our favorite noodle dishes. Add just a touch of heat, #1 spice to start out with. Little heat & sweetness. Thatis what is unique of Thai food. You can tell the person is a true Thai cook. Yum!! The portions are very reasonable. Dinnersize makes about 3 meals. So appreciative!!!!! Read more

I had a bowl with Thai fried rice, sweet Thai sauce and chicken Tempura on top. It came with 2 Spring rolls. ! The food was... outstanding! It was fresh, hot, and flavorful. The Spring tools were crisp and perfectly cooked. The service was stellar. Priceis reasonable. I would highly recommend going here for take out! ?????? Read more

My husband and I frequently order from here. We enjoy everything we've ordered here so far. The only thing that I don't... understand which is not affecting my rating of this place by any means - the Tom Kha soup we've ordered is very creamy andheavy. In comparison to the other Tom Kha soup at the other thai restaurant in town which is also creamy (coconut milk base) ,but this one is much heavier, texture wise etc and even different in color. Not sure why they both look and taste so differentif they are literally the same exact soup.. With that said, we do prefer the other Tom Kha soup of the other thai restaurant, but we still like to order from Takin Thai. Read more

Not impressed at all. I frequent the other Thai spot and was looking for a change. Pad Gra Prow with beef and Drunken noodles... with Chicken- both taste like seafood. As if they cooked shrimp right before me and never changed the pan. It?s my fault that Idon?t like seafood- but it?s their fault that my food tastes like the Jersey shore Read more

I don?t usually go out of my way to write a review but they deserve therecognition! I highly recommend giving them a try! The portions are plentiful and the quality is A+! I can?t wait to go back! Tired and bored of all the pizzerias in town. I wanted to try something new and different. The staff are very polite and... answered all my questions. The food was delicious and prepared to my order. The green curry dish lasted me 2.5 servings.Definitely making this one of my monthly dine outs. Read more

One of the worst experiences I?ve had. I ordered two Tom Yum soups and a Vietnamese roll for $26 which I thought was expensive... for a take out joint. I should have known when I walked in what to have expected. Take a look at the tomato that was in my soup. This isn?t even a traditional Tom Yum soup! Also, the ingredients listed on their menu for their Vietnamese roll mentionednothing about having iceberg lettuce which took up 90% of the roll and used as a filler. What little bean sprout was in therewas brown and not fresh. It was hands down the worst Thai food I?ve ever had. I will never go back there again! I?ll stick withthe Thai restaurant in West Milford thank you. Sloppy prep work to let a tomato slip by into our soup like that. Take a look atthis Vietnamese roll. What do you see? 90% lettuce. It?s called ?filler? to keep costs down and maximize profits. It?s not evenlisted as an ingredient in your description on your menu for a Vietnamese roll. That?s called deception. Yes you offered me acoupon for future purchase but why would I want to eat there again? The same exact order is under $20 at the Thai restaurant inWest Milford and much more authentic than what you offer. Nonetheless, I hope that you revamp your menu to reflect an accuratelisting of ingredients in your meals. Again ?nowhere does it say iceberg/romaine lettuce under Vietnamese spring roll. Read more
