The women's bathroom sink is not working and an employee came out of the... bathroom, did not go to another sink and wash her hands, and went straight to making food. The gal warned me that the tots were hot! Let me tell YOU! She was right! I distinctly remember her telling me as she handed me... my food ?Don?t drive and eat? Ordered a 6 pack and a pound, was overcharged for it, store employed got rather rude about it when questioned as to why. He... refused to give me manager or general manager contact details. A lady got involved, claiming to be the manager. My guess isshe was just a shift manager and she got even ruder than the kid who was serving up the orders. She also refused to provide theGM contact. This was at the Hiawatha, Iowa store by the KwikStar on Blairs Ferry Rd. I usually don't eat at this story anyway,because the food quality swings up and down frequently. I do understand the difficulty in finding employees but these gems aredefinitely not what any company was for their public facing service staff. Normally I would eat at the 1st Ave store however Idid not feel like driving across town so my only option was the Hiawatha store or Taco Bell (who, in 10 years, has managed toscrew up pretty much every order I have ever made). Probably not likely that I will bother to patronize that store, ever again. Read more
Favorite take out. Less expensive than other places. They mess up our order occasionally. I hate raw onionh& request things... without onions. They gave us a $5 off coupon for messing up our order. The wouldn't honor the coupon at the same location. Mademe really angry. Read more
This and every taco john's is trash! Overpriced low quality dog food. It's never hot, never! It takes forever to get anything... and I love it when they say we are low staffed. Lol, the people u have now could care less about working. They would rather beon their phones or talk amongst themselves then help customers. However, if u only paid me $11 an hour I probably wouldn't workto hard either. U can tell management is on there last ounce of energy dealing with this circus of a business. What a joke!!! Read more
Wasn't going to do this, but today's food was truly disgusting. Ordered a six pack and a pound. The meat product in the shell... didn't even look to be suitable for pet feed. I'm old enough to remember when Taco John's first came to Cedar Rapids, lookingfrom then to today, quality and portions have gone straight into the toilet.. literally. I can't even imagine the scavenginganimals in the area would want to eat this stuff. Needless to say, I'll never eat their food again, and would highly recommendyou not waste your money there either.
