Reviews for Broadway Diner in Hicksville, NY
Pre-Pandemic, was our favorite local diner. They have remodeled, adding a bar. 1. The menu has shrunk considerably, particularly... for lunch and dinner. Gone is the massive menu so typical for Greek diners. My Reuben, which used to be a large open-facedplatter, is now a sandwich. My wife's Chef's Salad was also noticeably smaller. Plus no longer includes hard-boiled eggs orscallions, and they were out of olives. 2. The dessert case, which used to have great pastries, is gone. They also have only 2soups and no soup of the day. 3. Seems like they are still a great place for breakfast. However, lunch and dinner seems likeburgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads. 4. Our waitress was not all that attentive - looked like they were understaffed. Shenever once asked us if we wanted to refill our water glasses, and forgot to put in my order for soup. Not sure if the decline isjust to this diner or to diners in general. Another big one in our town closed a couple of weeks ago. Read more
The service and the food isn?t the same as it was prior to renovations. Literally had to ask the server for so many missing... items with our meal. All the servers just hang out by the bar area and pay no attention to customer needs. They should?veskipped the renovations (cus it looked amazing prior) and they should?ve just focused more on customer service and food quality. So disappointed. Read more
We had a lovely Sunday breakfast here. Good vibes, friendly staff, ample parking space. Blueberry lemon pancakes were amazing.... Will visit again when I'm in the area. Read more
The place is nice and clean staff is nice not too chatty I would like to say maybe because it wasn't that busy they were... understaffed... however the food was okay but it wasn't that hot it was just warm , the pancakes weren't that great ! it wascrunchy it was like it was on a hot plate just sitting! yucky maybe they can look getting these things corrected because therewas a couple that came after us that were going to leave because they were waiting too long(yikes) Read more
This was our first time back after the recent remodel. We didn't like the new look. All the TV's are gone and the inside is very... dark. The only booths are around the perimeter and there are no privacy shields which makes it much louder. As for the food, Ihad an omelette which was good but my wife had a salad with grilled chicken which tasted good but was half the size of whatshe's been used to with very little chicken. Also didn't like the Texas type country music. I hope they change the name becauseit doesn't remotely resemble a diner anymore. We will not be going back. Read more
Cute traditional diner spot. The potion of the food is huge. I could have shared one plate with two. Flavors are nice and well... cooked. Parking space is spacious and restaurant was also very roomy too. Read more
