After reading reviews on Google, went their to get food. It's small place in the plaza on Woodbury road. Met with owner behind... the counter, and he happily took my order and told me to wait for 15 minutes. I ordered lamb tikka, chicken tikka and chickentikka and kofta platter. They ran out of brown rice and asked me if i like white rice. I said yes and he happily upgraded tokabuly plaow. I drive by this place every day and finally decided to stop in. To say I'm happy I did is an understatement. Between the great... food, the amazing staff, and the family like atmosphere I was so glad I chose to eat here. I ordered the bolani to start. It wascooked perfect and had great flavor. Sort of a creamy flavorful potato wedged in a flaky crust. For the main, I ordered the lambkabob and the chicken shish kabob plated. They both came with a very fresh salad to start. When the dishes came out I wasabsolutely amazed at the portions. The value for what you get is unbeatable. More importantly, the taste. The lamb practicallymelded in my mouth and had so much flavor. The chicken had just the right amount of char and was extra juicy. If you're in thearea and you want some great kabob served by great people, then come on in. Very delicious food & excellent service. I normally don?t write reviews but I feel like they?ve earned one. Compared to most... afghan restaurants that I?ve dined in; this restaurant gives large portion sizes ? down to the salad and their food is veryauthentic. I really enjoyed the gandana bolani. Was skeptical at trying but read the last two reviews and this place without a doubt is the best Afghan place in the whole... United States.
