Hello, I don't normally write reviews but i have to share my experience . DO NOT EAT HERE !!!! The other night my bf and i... ordered the chicken over rice. The next morning we both had severe diarrhea , nausea , and gas throughout the entire day . Weare currently on our second day of experiencing these symptoms . The girl who helped me was very nice! I got chicken over rice as usual, and it was perfect! She asked me to tell her when to... stop with white sauce and this spot was very clean. After I ordered and sat to eat, took a couple photos, a few people came inand the line went quickly. Definitely recommend! Delicious! Read more
Very cheap service. All other places are superb than this place. These guys are not doing justice to the quality of service. I... dont think the owner is getting it. So many complaints about the team. Most of them are new for mew as go to other shahs. Firethis team! I'm never coming back yo Hicksville Shah's until they change. Read more
Asked for a gyro with the pita bread on the side. Charged me for a chicken over rice (without the rice) and then charged me $2... extra for a pita bread. All the other shah locations understand what I ask for. Try to explain just became to much. Read more
They need to learn how to talk to customers on the phone. I called to ask if they were open because we are traveling from a... different neighborhood and it would take some time to get there. The person picked up rudely saying "If I pick up the phone I'mopen and what time do you want me to close? Wantagh location is wayyy more professional and nicer. Read more
Update: I used to love this place. They had and still have really good food. The new staff do not acknowledge your order... receipt! I was like, do you have fish gyros? She walked in and started working on it. I had no idea if she heard me / is goingto work on it / if they don?t have it ??????? It was a similar experience the last time we came in too. (a few days beforeChristmas) Really sad! Good food, Minus 3 for bad service! ??????????????????????? My absolute favorite Halal food place.I've tried Halal guys as well and prefer Shah's any day. We usually get the chicken over rice or lamb gyro but my new favoriteis the fish over rice and I make it a point to add lots of their green sauce. They're very generous with their sauces and unlikesome other place that hesitate to give sauces to go, they don't do that. You get everything you need! ;) Read more
The food was really good I just wish there was a rice option without onions. The level of service depends how busy it is at the... time. When the line is long they will rush and you get less food in your container. We always get the extra protien option. Read more
I ordered a chicken and rice platter that they made in 3 minutes which is a bad sign. They didn?t give the extra chicken I paid... for and poured the white sauce all over the top of the pita, none on the chicken and rice..sauce was all on the lid and not themeal..can?t get basic decent service here. It goes rice, then meat then sauce and finally pita..not rocket science here. Read more
