Originally from mineola but now in North Carolina, we returned to visit family in mineola and met friends at this place. The... owner came over and treated us like family. He explained all the dishes. It was difficult to decide but I had the veal shank andgnocchi, wow fantastic!!!! While the price may be steep for some, you get what you pay for and the food was so freaking good. Wewill return again. Thank you paisan, your friends from North Carolina. Read more

The entire experience was great. It is a family owned restaurant that puts their heart and sole into their food and care for... their customers. The food was excellent including the homemade cherry Gelato. Ask for Gino when you get there. First time thereand will be coming back in the future. Read more

Actually a 3.5. on a Sunday night with tomorrow a holiday, we came here bc Chris and Tony's of Syosset was packed. Trullo had... one table of 5 people when we walked in. Despite it being so quiet, table service was pretty slow. Also, empty plates wereleft despite bus boys coming over to refill our water. Have had Trullo take out, this being first experience eating in. Mixedgreen salad was excellent mix of greens, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, orange pieces, etc. The portobello appetizer was OK. Paparadelle bolognese was super small, like a child's portion or appetizer and a total rip for $18! We had to order a secondone for our 3 young kids who are light eaters. The chicken Martini (parmagiana encrusted) and the steak were quite good. Imade a comment to the waiter about the pasta course being too small. This reminds me of Piacere in Little Italy (but better)where you can count the strands of spaghetti on the dish! The tiramisu was quite decent to finish. Check came to around $150pre tip. Overall, a good meal. Just please make your pasta dishes a little bigger(50 to 75% larger would be fair). I'm notasking for Carmine's size dishes, which feeds 6 people, but one average adult should feel at least 50% full after eating anentree!! Noodles are cheap anyway. Don't leave a bad impression for being stingy here. Hope you guys listen, I want to keepcoming back. Read more
