Food is very good. Staff is very nice. Although I've never dined in, they are pretty efficient in the drive-thru. I stop by Freddie's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers for the most delicious milk shakes I have ever tasted! Just when you think... no one could make a milk shake creatively better and more tasty, you probably haven't gone to Freddie's and tasted any ofthere's from their various choices available? It's almost impossible for me and my youngest son to drive past there withoutstopping to try another variety they have on their menu! One of the latest shakes I tasted was their chocolate brownie milkshake with tasty little chunks of brownie in it, but my favorite is the strawberry one with the cherry on the top! We don't have Freddy's in NY. Whenever I visit NC, I come here. I eat the double with American cheese and bacon. Their fries are... shoestring, so if you enjoy that, they're good! We?ve been to several restaurants that would be randomly closed because they don?t have enough workers. How sad is that? That... is NOT the case at this Freddy?s. They had plenty of workers and EVERYONE stayed busy. When no one was at the counter to order,they were still a hive of activity. Whether they were cleaning, restocking, cooking etc.. no one stood around staring at theirphone or chatting. The manager went next door and came back with 4 pizzas for his crew. They all had on masks so we couldn?tsee if they were smiling, but I would hope so. They kept working with anticipation of free pizza on their break. So instead of,?which came first, the chicken or the egg?? I propose this question: ?Does the manager show his appreciation because they workhard or do they work hard because he shows his appreciation?? Anyway, it was a very nice thing to witness. Now the food. Weboth got the double with cheese and Hubs added bacon. The combo includes a drink and their delicious, super skinny fries. Due toCovid, they no longer have the special Freddy?s Sauce in a pump, but they do give you hermetically sealed pods which is actuallynicer. The burgers are truly smashed so you get the crispy lace edges. We also got a chili cheese dog with onions. The beefhotdog was good and was longer than the bun. Sadly, only one side of the bun had been grilled, they needed more chili and theyweren?t hot enough to melt the cheese. In the future we?ll stick with the burger and fries.
