Today is May 19 and at 7:30 pm I stopped by to pickup 2 online orders. It was only one person on duty and he was not wearing... mask which is a direct violation of village order for public places. Upon arrival home we found that both orders (4 one footlong subways) were messed up. One subway had a wrong type of bread. Another one had missing bacon ($1.50 extra), another one hadingredients missing and the last one had wrong ingredient. Also, we submitted a coupon for a free cookie and guess what? Therewere no cookie in the bag! So I called guy and he told me that they are out of bacon, Italian herbs bread and some ingredientsand he substituted missing toppings with something else. I told him that I'm coming back for free cookie and cache differencefor a bacon. When I arrived the guy lied to me that bacon is only $1 even if online shows $1.50. Then he took a dollar from THEDONATION BOX and handled it to me. So he just stole this dollar! People! Be aware -- your donations do not go to where itsuppose to go. It goes directly to his pocket! He was very rude and tried to yell on me "I told you that we do not have ..."Instead of calling us and telling about missing ingredients and asking what to do with our orders he just replaced what was notin a store with something he decide to use. Very unprofessional! What if we wanted to cancel these orders? He had no rights tomake such decisions!, Terrible service, rude behavior. We never order from this location again. Be aware!! Read more
Tasty food though light on the fillings (tuna or cheese). Hard to understand the server due to accent. Clean and prompt service.
There is never any parking when I come here. Otherwise it's a nice location but don't bother trying to drive here during lunch... rush hour. You'll be circling around for awhile. Read more
The Highland Park Subway on 1st & Elm is a very clean, comfortable, and brightly lit restaurant with friendly and generous... staff. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean, and well maintained. Tables and drink bar are always clean. The staff are friendly,fast, attentive, and have no reservations loading up your sandwich just the way you like it. I've been to MANY Subwaylocations, and this has been my favorite - I'll keep coming back! Read more
