This place was absolutely amazing! I was not expecting to find great Mexican food (mostly Tex-Mex) in Highlands Ranch. The... service was phenomenal, the food fantastic and the drinks, perfect. They were also super wonderful with my dog as we sat on thepatio. (Dog loved the chicken and rice dinner they gave her) I highly recommend this place for some good food and great service! Read more

FABULOUS! Saturday night homecoming dinner. Group of 14 girls, a reservation for 12, the staff graciously sat them all. Another... mom and I sat at the bar for drinks and dinner. I have heard that it was the owner, who came and joked with us about the groupof girls and then recommended tasty drinks for us. We were taken care of by him and the amazing server, Sarah. Meanwhile, ourgirls had a blast and were made to feel special on their celebration night. Food and drinks were great and the atmosphere washappy. Please stop by this small and amazing restaurant. This was the first time we visited Casa Caliente, the restaurant was very clean and inviting. The service was great, fast and... friendly. The food looked so good but it was bland. Don't ask me how the green chili was, I didn't find any on my plate. I wasdisappointed. Edit- Not sure what the owner response even means. Of course I ordered it. I gave a kind review, and commentedthat the food would be something you would find in our nursing home. I'm sorry if that offends the owner. Read more

Not Mexican in Highlands Ranch My husband and I decided to try this place because it had gluten free. We came in and saw the... gluten-free menu. My husband asked for the gluten free menu and the hostess said ?we don?t have one?. 17 minutes after being satdown our waitress came by wanting to take our drink and food order. (Side note) She was obviously training, was super sweet anddid her best. Although we did get forgotten about. The chips are fried in the same frier as everything else. The waitressgrabbed the menu my husband pointed at for gluten free. He ordered the boneless wings and tostada. The wings were fried in oilthat turned everything dark and tasted bad. His tostada had such a bad flavor that he couldn?t eat it. Mind you, this is a manwho will eat pretty much anything. We sent everything back and he tried a basic chicken and cheese only quesadilla. When itcame out, it was not from the ?fresh made tortilla maker? but greasy chicken with peppers, onion and cheese. Personally I hadthe tamales with black beans. Never in my life have I had liquid smoke in black beans. The rice was so dry when I dropped an icecube it absorbed quickly. The ?gluten free? is not. It?s cross contaminated. I?m in bloating pain. If your going to say ?glutenfree? it needs to be ?gluten free? not cross contaminated. Horrible!!!!! The poor server knew it was bad and the ?manager? wasrude. We don?t complain we are foodies who just enjoy eating out. Worst experience ever?adding the country music in thebackground. Tortilla making machine shown pictures, well it is sitting at the front of the restaurant NOT being used. Skye, gobe a server somewhere else. You did a great job and a sweetheart, you deserve better. Let me just say the waitress was amazing. But we will never be back. We started with the corn nuggets which actually were... decent. Unfortunately that?s not enough of a reason for us to return. We didn?t enjoy the salsas, although the concept of a trioof salsas is a great idea. We shared the shrimp and chicken fajitas. The menu talks about spices on the meat for the fajitas butthese were the blandest fajitas I have ever tasted. We kept trying to add salsas and things to them but they were just soflavorless. We couldn?t even finish it. The chicken tasted boiled and shrimp tasted odd. The chips were good. Overall this justdidn?t feel like a Mexican restaurant as much as a very Americanized style of food.
