Hi! I would give Hightstown's downtown Taco Rito 5 stars all around but that always seems untrue and false and not thought out... or worse...Fake! This is a real post about a Real Cool restaurant ,serving up big,not too big,portions of what may be realMexican food. Wow! I have such great things to say about this place! I'm gonna start off by complimenting how good their portion sizes are.... Their rice bowls were huge and left leftovers that I was very satisfied about. The food was delicious and the employees weresuper friendly. When you walk in there's a self-order kiosk, which I appreciated a lot as it gave me a no-pressure way to choosewhat I wanted, especially since it was my first time visiting! They have pre-made options for burritos, bowls, tacos, etc. Somuch to choose from! I chose to build my own bowl and was surprised but happy with the amount to choose from. You can pick a maxamount of 7 toppings in your bowl (not including rice, beans, and protein option). I got spicy rice with shredded chicken aswell as some other toppings. The shredded chicken was very good and very well seasoned. The pineapple I added was fresh and gavesuch a nice flavor to everything. We ordered for take out, and we were told it'd be about 12 minutes from the man behind thecounter. We walked around town while waiting and a few short minutes later we recieved our text that it was ready! When wewalked back in the man had it all ready and packaged for us waiting there, followed by a super friendly goodbye. Two bowls was$20. What a great price for how much food you're given! What a lovely surprise. Stopped in Hightstown after a long day of work in NY and was headed south. Surprise Surprise -... exceptional food (rice bowl with shredded chicken) in what looks like a normal run-of-the-mill carryout. Food was tasty,prepared quickly and overall - it was an excellent meal with prompt service. Read more
This location is in downtown Hightstown New Jersey. I ordered ahead online and the food was ready to be picked up ahead of... time. The place was not crowded and the staff was friendly. I had the create your own rice bowl with chicken ????, yellowrice, cabbage ????, beans , spicy ???? pineapple ???? salsa ???????? cheese ???? blends and pico de gallo. TacoRito is legit my go-to spot for Mexican food! My favorite thing on their menu is the chipotle burrito.
