Everything about the bar staff is 100% They are AMAZING - ATTENTIVE-FUNNY. Food is good too! However, tried to book a party... there and it was horrendous. Joan booked the party upstairs, then never returned my calls or emails after she said the date was"booked". Ruined our 50th Birthday/10 Year Wedding Anniversary Party. Had to try and book somewhere else last minute. If theycouldn't accommodate due to lack of staff or any other reason all she had to do was SAY SO! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Whysomeone like that is "in charge" of booking the banquet room I don't understand. Stick with the bar and restaurant staff andyou'll have the best time!! DJ Mike is Awesome!! Read more
Ya know, walking in I had my doubts. After staying for a bit, those doubts faded away. The bar staff is great. I'm sure the... servers are too, but i stayed at the bar. The music later was fun. The apps menu might be one of the best. It's all bad for youand it all sounds awesome. Definitely a place I'll revisit when i roll back through NJ. Thanks! Read more
Our server was delightful. I had the stuffed chicken with spinach, green beans and mashed. Everything was perfectly cooked.... Perogies were good. My coworker got the taco salad and these great people even had tortilla chips and avocado in there. By theend, we got to see a little karaoke which is refreshing after a long year. Read more
The outside seating was amazing! I got the shrimp basket and my husband got the Louisiana Chicken pasta they were solid. The... drinks were really tasty. I got the Miami Mango and Mango Refresher which were superb. My husband got the Cucumber Fizz whichwas okay. We will definitely be back! The service was awesome! Sara was very friendly and attentive. Love the outside area. Many gluten free options including the tacos. We wanted to try the special they had of the bacon wrapped... chicken stuffed with cheese, but they ended up giving us the regular stuffed chicken with cheese and spinach it was still reallygood, but we went back to try the bacon wrapped one a couple weeks later and they had already rotated the specials menu. So ifyou see something on the special menu try it as you might not get the chance to again. The tacos were sooo good I could eatthose all day. Read more
The patio dining experience was just wonderful. The occasional breeze on a warm summer afternoon made it more extraordinary... with a cold Miami Mango drink (see photo). Top it off with a veggie burger and onion rings, you have the perfect diningexperience. Read more
My friends and I ate at the Tavern on the Lake every day of our five day vacation. We absolutely loved the food, location, and... service. Our favorite menu item was hands down the Tavern Burger. Absolutely delicious. Read more
My boyfriend and I went here on a Wednesday night for my birthday for dinner. It was not busy AT ALL (now I know why.) There... were only two other tables besides us occupied in the dining room. Our waiter was horrible. He dumped our appetizer (chips andsalsa with guacamole, salsa and guac were good but the chips were kind of gross) on the table and disappeared. It took foreverto get our food. We both ordered lemon chicken. It was extremely underwhelming and kind of rubbery and the only thing you couldtaste was lemon, no other seasonings. We asked for some grated cheese, bread, and a beer. The waiter brought the grated cheesebut not the bread nor the beer. When we saw him again we reminded him about what we asked for. He said he'd be right back withit. He came back about 11 minute's later with the beer but no bread.. Again... He finally came back with the bread when myboyfriend was finished with his meal. At that point I was about halfway through my meal and realized that my chicken was raw inthe middle. I pointed this out to our waiter and he just shrugged and walked away. By far the WORST birthday dinner I have everhad! Wasn't expecting anything fancy, just a decent meal. I wouldn't feed a starving dog from this place! Read more
