This coffee shop is excellent!! Their mission is very prevalent in their drinks, their service and their style. The old... firehouse is classy yet fun, relaxing and professional. Their baristas are very friendly and skilled, the owner is humble and isextremely open to talking about how his coffee tastes! First, I was served their interpretation of a macchiato, which was a 3ozdrink presented super well, with a glass of sparkling water to cleanse the palate. The coffee was the right temperature toenjoy, very sweet and balances with lots of depth. Next, I was served a nitro cold brew, cold brew is something that if doneright is absolutely lovely. Cold brews are one of the only drinks you can order that you can enjoy the same cup for an hour! Isat there for 30 minutes sipping and enjoying, combined with my blueberry pastry, it was a very lovely experience indeed! Greattaste, light in the mouth, but the aftertaste just takes it home. I was in the car driving home still tasting the chocolatynotes of the coffee. My fiancé was served the miel latte which is pictured. Overall, this coffee shop?s environment isexceptional, their coffee is something they have clearly put a ton of time and effort into perfecting. It is roasted well andbrewed even better; it has the power to change your mind on how strong or plain without milk/flavor you like your coffee. Theirlattes and seasonal menus are so cool, very different! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there?s always room forimprovement, each roaster is so different and there drinks can also be very different. With my macchiato I was looking for apiece of chocolate to aid in my experience, maybe. I?m crazy but I like to dip my chocolate in the crèma, something like araspberry 70% cocoa would go well with their espresso profile. Best coffee I?ve ever had in my life (mother agrees and has been drinking a pot a day for 40 years). I tried The Mermaid - kind... of expecting it to be overly sweet and syrupy. I think I?ve been more skeptical lately and felt ?there?s no way they make suchbeautiful coffee art AND have mastered the art of making the most delicious coffee.? My goodness - it is PERFECTION. A littlesalty and not too sweet, coffee is the star of the drink as it should be. The level of excellence in the drinks, staff andambiance of this place is high and it shows. Wonderful attention to detail and addition to the community. Also, so great tohave so many lovely vegan options here - husband tried the biscotti and one of the three vegan muffins offered and we noticedthe to go oatmeal were also all vegan. The barista we had, Cassie, was fantastic! She was knowledgeable about the different roast options and she had recommendations... for local restaurants to try in the area when I shared that I was exploring some local spots. Such a pretty place with great coffee and fantastic service. Their specialty drinks actually taste pretty unique, and I love the... Mermaid. Their large feels HUGE compared to their medium, so keep that in mind. The decor and drinks are all very aestheticallypleasing, and the baristas are really patient, helpful, and good at latte art. I ONLY have good things to say about Tala. First, their staff is the friendliest group of people I have ever met. They are kind,... happy, upbeat, and more than happy to suggest a drink or share their favorites. Second, the COFFEE IS AMAZING. The amount ofthought that clearly goes into every roast I have tried is very apparent. I have never had a bad drink here, my favorite thusfar must be the Kumbaya. The space is beautiful and comfortable and so open and airy, and CLEAN. Finally, their merchandise - Iwant to buy it all, from tees to comfy sweatshirts, and the mugs, which are simply the best. I have their 2021 Holiday mug, andit is by far the most comfortable to hold, stylish, keeps my coffee HOT mug that I have ever had. I look forward to MANY moretrips to Tala. Read more
