Lovely spot! The owner was really friendly and so were two of his 3 dogs. Beer was very surprising, in a good way, nice tangy... not overly sweet Belgian styles!! Read more

What if a taverns from the days of yore never stopped existing? And still had tavernkeeps pouring ale while the only Toy Irish... Wolfhound sat at your feet? What's that? Ambacht brewing? It's everything you wish it was. Great local beer, Tom, dogs...Icould go on, but just go instead. Read more

I've been to this bar once, bought a case of bottles, and had one of the beers on tap somewhere else. Everything was infected... and sour. During my visit, we talked in detail about his brewing practices, and it was obvious he didn't follow propercleanliness procedures. Recently I sampled his dark wheat at another brewery. It was badly infected and even the owner of thebar said it was terrible. If you like it, spend your money here. I will take mine to breweries that understand cleanliness andquality control. This place sports the brewer serving you brews; he is knowledgeable and can teach a thing or two about micros. I had four of... their beers in a flight and their golden raspberry is delicious. And the ginger is quiet lovely too. Stop in and enjoy thisplace Read more

Stopped by here to get a growler of cider. They don?t do cider! They do ales and not a single IPA! I sampled a Cherry Dark ale... that was phenomenal! And I?ve been in the mood for cider for the last three years! Pop in and give this place a chance. Supercozy and they have two great dogs too! Read more

Ambacht is Life! What else can I Say???... How can I even begin to put this???... I shall try my very best. I was first... introduced to Golden Belgium Farmhouse Ales/Saison's in my mid-twenties out in California. When this particular style of beercame into my life it came in form of "DELIRIUM TREMENS"(a Farmhouse ale from Belgium with a recipe more than 365 years old). Iam now 36, and I must confess that at the very moment that this Beer hit my tongue I became a full-blown French/Belgium GoldenFarmhouse Ale ADDICT! Since then, everywhere I go, I am always on the lookout for new Belgian Style Golden Farmhouse Ale's andGolden Saison's. Fast forward 10 years and I find myself living in Hillsboro, Oregon, an area over flooded, bombarded andexhausted by the "OREGON IPA REVOLUTION". BUUUT, Somehow (by what only can be described as DIVINE INTERVENTION), I end up only 6blocks away from a "BELGIUM INSPIRED" GOLDEN FARMHOUSE ALE BREWERY that takes pride in being "THE ONLY OREGON BREWERY WITHOUT ANIPA". My dear Friends... I'm talkin about AMBACHT! A Brewery for Real Beer Enthusiasts! This place is not "Fancy" and it has NoGimmicks! Just true Artisan Ales with a "Cozy" and "Comfy" atmosphere to enjoy them in. So here I am friends, living life day today, check to check, trial after trial, fighting the good fight and always trying to put my best foot forward. However, inevitably, after LIFE chews me up and spits me out every frickin week I know I can always count on Tom & Brandy to provide mewith a safe & relaxing haven, to put my feet up, throw a load off, and enjoy the Absolute BEST BEER that Oregon has to offer.Come on In... The BEER, it's Alive! Read more

The beer is interesting and well made. All Belgian style beers - a nice reprieve from the IPA norm. Tom, the brewer and owner,... worked hard to make sure everyone in the tap-room was taken care of and having a good time. Unassuming and comfortablesurroundings. Read more
