I usually go here during the day for business meetings and it is always good. Prompt service and good food. I returned tonight... and brought my boyfriend after a long day of work on our house. We arrived at 9:20 and sat upstairs. There were several tablesoccupied outside, but inside was quiet and about 15% filled. We each ordered a cocktail upon arriving. That cocktail arrived 25minutes later. We at that time ordered an appetizer and another round to arrive at the same time. As we were waiting ourwaitress came around with water. She spilled the pitcher all around the water glass and on my boyfriends phone. She kindalaughed and said, "whoa it's coming out all over" then proceeded to go to the 2 other tables up top to fill their waters. Weassumed she would come back to wipe up the large puddle...but she did not. When she brought our food she sat the plate half inthe water and I had to ask the table to be wiped down. I also asked for extra napkins at that time. She came back, wiped thetable and gave us napkins then left. That was the last time we saw her...and we were there another 40 minutes. The unfortunatething about her disappearance was she didn't leave silverware. I searched upstairs to find some, to no avail. We ate ourhummus with our hands (thank God for the napkins I asked for). At this point I was glad it was a date night and not a work lunchcause we were taking double dipping to a new level. Our hope for another drink waned and soon all we wanted was the bill. Aftersitting 10 minutes with finished plates and drinks in front of us, we walked downstairs. There were 4 employees wandering thefront and a bartender who was making a drink. I stood in the middle of the room for several minutes as people walked around me.The employees were not busy...they were talking to eachother and standing around. Standard McMenamins fare. But the location is unique. It's in a suburban/rural neighborhood and has served as a meeting place... for locals for many years. The aesthetics match the purpose. Several seating options including inside by the wood stove, at thebar, upstairs, patio, or balcony. Each seating location has it's own feel. Also, they have a shuffleboard table upstairs that islegit-- sand and all. Well worth a journey to meet up with friends, and enjoy some good food, drinks, and atmosphere. Read more

I loved the place and the great atmosphere. I went there for live music(came up in a search). They do not, apparently they have... not since the beginning of COVID and they do not have a plan for live music to return. They do have games and a great attitude; Read more

Very out of the way place. Quirky like they all are. Had dinner here then went to the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse for some dessert.... I haven?t been to a bad McMenamins yet. The wooden mushroom lamps?I want some for my place. Read more

This is a fantastic place to gather together with people, as long as you plan to stay awhile. They have a long wait time and the... parking lot is super small but once you sit down the atmosphere, food, drinks and customer service are all worth it. Read more

Food and beer are always on point at McMs...those who regularly patron them know that we also seek the full, immersive... experience. Rock Creek Tavern did not disappoint. Cozy, eclectic, spacious, and friendly staff, we definitely enjoyed our firstexperience here. YES! My fav of all the McMenamins! Food is good, happy hour rocks and the place is so cool to hang out!

We spent 2.5 hours here waiting on our drinks and food on Sunday Nov 28, which is unheard of at a McMenamins. Typically orders... come out quick, but it took 30 minutes just for our appetizer to arrive. Drinks were 15 minutes+ even on refills. We ate ourfood in 15 minutes once we got it as we were very hungry by that time. I had the seasonal salad which had a good flavor but itwas very hard to eat because it was literally drenched in dressing. I didn't complain because I was hungry and didn't want towait another hour or more for them to make another salad!! The rest of the family had burgers and those were good.
