Why do they always give me what they want to give me instead of what I ordered. Instead of rice and beans they give me mashed... potatoes. And instead of the beignets they give me two apple pies, no explanation, and I find out when I get home and open thebag. This happens often here. Super frustrating. Food is always good. But service at the Hillside NJ location is the most unpleasant and disorganized place I've ever been to.... If I can give it a negative star I would. Do not patronize this location. Read more
Service was very slow. Customers at the cash register for 20 minutes or more. The staff is not the same, the evening staff... anyway. One or two was friendly and knowledgeable but the rest where very rude to customers. They were running into each otherlike chickens with their heads cut off. My wife and I waited 45 minutes and was no where near the cash register to order outfood because there was one cashier arguing with an older lady. I will never go back to this one again. Only a few years ago youthey were the best pop eyes I knew of. Management needs to step up. I see them closing down with in the next few years. Becauseadult don't go to pizza joints on fridays and want good service and will drive and extra few miles for good food and. service.That's why buffets are popping up every where. Great experience the food was good very friendly and polite employees need to send out coupons. Need to serving food need to... wear hair nets . Touching food and giving out money need to wear gloves. Plenty of parking and parking lot was clean Read more
Employees were nice, polite, and helpful. But the food is no longer what it used to be. We were driving home close to dinner... time and realized we did not have anything for dinner. We decided to stop at Popeye's along the way. Got there and saw thatpeople are lining up. When we got to the counter we put in our order to go. We ordered a bunch of chicken and was asked if wewanted any sides. We decided to get a regular size coleslaw to share as well. When we got our food, we noticed that the coleslawwas TINY! We paid an extra $3.49 for this!?!? See picture attached. I asked if they made a mistake and was told with a smilethat it's the regular size. Since it's been a long while, and there was a line behind us, we decided to let it go. Got homewithin 5 minutes, and eagerly dug right in. The batter was crisp and crunchy as we remembered it! But to our disappointment, thechicken pieces were TOUGH; no matter which piece we tried. And speaking of the coleslaw, it was rancid! And we paid an extra$3.49 for it!! We are sorry to say but this meal was a HUGE disappointment. Perhaps it's just this location? We will tryanother location next time when we get the craving again. Read more
Horrible location, one employee upfront taking orders, food orders wrong ask for one item get something else. Arrived home and... started eating and on the last piece of chicken got a mouth full of raw chicken. Needless to say I became Ill and will neverspend a dime here again considering following up with health department complaint. Read more
In my opinion one of the better of the Popeyes in the area and the atmosphere is friendly in my opinion (except when it's really... busy and everyone is waiting for their dang chicken lol.) I've had their chicken multiple times over the past decade or two andhonestly the chicken used to be dry as anything but I went there today i have no idea what y'all did but nowadays the bone inchicken just hits different. The bone in chicken was juicy and crispy throughout the entire chicken. The white meat could differa little more from the dark meat but I think both were very good. The wing was a bit meh but the breast and thigh that's whatit's all about. I think you just gotta go there right when it's fresh for the day but when it is hot and juicy well just scrollthrough the pictures! The tenders on the other hand were a little bit undercooked which was fine after putting them in themicrowave and me and my dog Tito enjoyed them. The taste was a little off and honestly I would choose burger king chicken friesover these tenders. idk they're pretty big I was expecting like just a smaller tender not a whole super big thing. Either waylove the staff over there so please if you're in the area go and support this local popeyes but stick with the bone in and thatsweet heat sauce (kind of like a Thai sauce) is very good as well with the spicy version of the chicken. Also I used the appsfor the rewards and offers which I don't think a lot of people don't know about but I got all this food was only $6 with thepoints I had saved up and the offer I used so it's totally worth it to get it on the iOS or playstore. They messed up my entire order and gave the Uber eats driver the wrong order. Didn?t double check the name before giving the... driver the order and now I can?t get my money back. Waste of money and time I would?ve picked it up if I knew they were thatstupid. Read more
