Orange chocolate chip scone had nice texture/crumble and the orange was a pleasant balance with the chocolate. Cardamom... chocolate chip coffee muffin was packed with flavor, a bit strong for my taste but overall was good. Read more

Vegan cinnamon roll was more like bread with sweet sticky cinnamon sauce swirled inside it. I actually liked it more than a... traditional cinnamon roll cuz I can actually convince myself that it?s breakfast and not dessert at 9am. Give it a try but setyour expectations!! Read more

Cinnamon roll and pumpkin spice muffins were ok. Maybe if the cinnamon rolls were warm/hot it would be better

I just stopped next door for coffee and was drawn into the bakery by the amazing aroma of fresh baked goods! Wow! The best... scones I?ve ever had. I bought cookies for later and they were perfect too. I also had a muffin that was a little dry, so if atfirst you don?t love the bakery, try again. I stopped in several times to try their daily delights. Read more

The cinnamon rolls are sooooo amazing! And they're vegan!? And they come with vegan icing!!! Eat them. Eat all of them. They're... so good. Also, the oat bread made some delicious beach sandwiches. I'll be at this bakery everytime I visit Hilo. Read more

Recently on a local friend's recommendation I popped in to Papa'a Palaoa Bakery just after opening on a Saturday morning. Of... course I was met with that wonderful fresh baking smell and a few smiling locals. I was on a mission to purchasewalnut-chocolate chip cookies. My local friend had said they were mac-nut chocolate chip but he was mistaken. Perhaps it wouldmake the cookies too expensive to make them with mac-nuts. The cookies are yummy! As well, there are pre-made sandwich optionsfor the carnivore and vegetarian. All in all a good experience. I'll be back! Read more
