Fish camp is one of our favorite restaurants to visit on the island. Sitting underneath the heaters outside (in the winter... months) creates a cozy atmosphere. This is a wonderful place for a date night or a family night eating out. I am not much of afoodie, and do not take pictures of a lot of my food as I would rather eat it. My wife and I both had the salmon platter, andit was so good that you might understand the picture of an empty plate. The staff has always been very kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back and we recommend you give Fish Camp a try. This place can get quite busy during the main season andtherefore we choose to visit in the off-season more often than not. Excellent location on the back water. Relaxed vibe with more of a local spot feel which is what we were looking for. We ended... up there for late lunch/early dinner and had no problem getting seated quickly. Drink menu did not disappoint. Food was sogood and menu had a great variety. Very good spot and probably the best fried fish in Hilton Head. The tomato bisque was thick and creamy with a great tomato... flavor. It was hearty and filling. Great seafood and atmosphere. Live music. Great service. We had the seafood stew and shrimp cocktail. My entree was the dafuskie... crab cakes with Whipped potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Fantastic location with a beautiful view of the creek! The live music was awesome! Calamari and Fried pickles were very tasty!... Blackened catfish was delicious, yummy raw oysters, and the Cast Net was plentiful! Kid friendly! Read more

Staff was great, server was friendly, they turned on the heaters to knock off the night's chill, and most importantly the food... was very good. The seafood risotto was flavorful as were all the appetizers, def recommend the fried calamari & pickles. Thecrab cakes were good and the asparagus was tasty rather than bitter. Overall I settled on 4-star because the quality of the food but was leaning towards 3-star. While I completely understand the... staffing challenges of the pandemic, some things were not pleasant. When we arrived we put our name in and had a seat at theseat at the bar while we waited. Feeling like it would be best to ask to eat inside my wife went and asked if we could be satinside. She was met with ?we take reservations if you want to eat inside?; not the friendliest response. Funny thing is wetried to make the reservation but just kept experiencing software errors and gave up (I?m not one to really call). Once we weresat things went pretty well until the sun went down and we, along with everyone who sat outside, were swarmed with some kind ofpesky bug. We asked for the propane heaters to be turned on and they were not in service either. Lastly, my portion size wasjust not substantial enough for my liking. I had the scallops and she had the crab cakes, I would have gladly paid a bit morefor a few more scallops. By the time we were finished eating we could not get our check fast enough to get away from the gnatsor whatever they were. Read more
