My family and I ate on a rainy Monday night at this restaurant. Most of the food was good. Beef empanadas were ehh. I would past... on those. My wife loved the Oyster Rockefeller. I had the Island Collection which was good but they needed to season the steamvegetables. My wife also had a seafood potpie that was too small for the price. Service was good. Our waiter was attentive toyour needs. I thought the prices were a little too high. But so is every other restaurant on Hilton head. I would recommend it.But I wouldn't go back. Read more
Everything was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Our drinks came quickly from the bar. We sat inside where almost every... table was full, but it was not too loud. We did not have a reservation and were seated right away, but we were there rightbefore the busy season started. If going in the busy season, I would suggest making a reservation or waiting to be seated. Itwill be worth it!! Read more
A nice restaurant in a fabulous location and setting. The views are to die for. And the food is pretty darn good too! We started... with the fried shrimp and calamari. It had this sweet and slightly spicy sauce on top that was very delicious. It brought thefried shrimp and calamari to a whole new level. I had the dockside collection that had a little bit of everything. The scallopswere nice and soft with a crispy top. The stuffed shrimp were very tasty with a nice lemony butter sauce. The crab cake wasmostly crab, not cake! And the whipped potatoes were smooth and yummy. We finished off with and apple pie crumble. It was goodbut a little too much cinnamon for my liking. We arrived at the peak of dinner time and were greeted very friendly by the host stand and put on the waitlist. Wait time was... shorter than anticipated and we were sat and greeted immediately. We ordered the mussels, which were absolutely delicious, andthe shrimp cocktail (the shrimp were huge!). All of our food came out promptly and our waitress was very attentive. Absolutely loved our first experience here! Will be back soon...with the rest of the family! Appetizer of shrimp cocktail was... perfect size; kinda hard to maneuver into the sauce as the metal "cup" is a little big for the dish, but loved it just the same.With such a big selection there is something on the menu for even the pickiest of eaters. I definitely recommend the rice WITHthe beans on top for a flavorful side you'd probably wanna do at home from then on! Read more
We arrived at around 530-600pm for dinner. The Dockside was busy but was able to be seated right away.. They got us to our table... and let us know that our server would be with us shortly. Five minutes passed and Grant our server for the evening took ourdrink order and gave us another 5-10 min to look over the menu. We ordered the Shrimp Nachos the small serving which it shortlyarrived within minutes of placing the order. One note here..we ordered the small and if you have a party more than 3 you betterorder the large portion, ours was devoured in minutes. Grant let us know that he put in our meal after we received the shrimpnachos so we didn't get our meal while still working on our appetizer. Grant was polite,kind and helpful.. He checked back withus before,through and after our meal even sensed when my kiddos drinks were nearing empty. Ask for Grant! Best server to date! Read more
