4.5 really. Good sunset views and excellent service. The staff has been there forever and the know what they are doing. Food... was very good but all 6 dishes seemed quite salty. As we are in our 60s, the salt was a bit much for most of us. The chocolateganache torte was, however, a fabulous finish to our evening...and enough for 6 to share without totally blowing ourfigures.???? we all will return and recommend. Read more
Our 25th Anniversary brunch. I called 6 days ahead for table of 10. Then felt like it was an imposition that we were there. We... asked for a group photo & server made a comment about how she was busy & didn't "have time for this" under her breath... Weheard comment. Seriously it's our 25th Anniversary!! Server's did not come across as very friendly & a little short with us. Ifyou could NOT handle party of 10 YOU SHOULD OF SAID SO WHEN I CALLED. Only saving grace was the food was good. Still left $50tip... was tempted not to.. but that would be poor character on my part. Giving benefit of doubt they were having a bad day!!Beautiful views too. Sunset Grill gets very busy. Make sure you get there early or have reservations. We went for brunch. Some meals were good,... others were badly prepared or cool. The quiche is the popular dish. If you want it, order immediately. It often and quicklysells out. The service was rushed and abrupt. The water view is nice. Try to get a window table. This is not a budget spot. Sunset Grille is a hidden gem on Hilton Head. A lovely small and intimate restaurant with some of the best views! The food?... Well, nothing less than excellent. Give it a try, you will be pleased. Read more
Really unknown place, unless you?re a local, I?m told; however, I believe that?s how the owners want it. Just getting around... to reviewing this great place, so here it goes! They say it?s fine dining and I would agree the food is but don?t feel like youhave to dress up ? we were fairly casual and many there were as well. Don?t even try to go if you don?t have a reservation b/cit ain?t happening! Also, they don?t do to go orders, you have to sit down and eat there to get food. We had one at 8 pm, justbefore sunset. Aside from the food, coming here is worth it just for the view. Doesn?t get better! I had Scallop Risotto andit?s was good ? way too salty but still good (I was starving and ate all of it). My son had the duck and it was amazing! Wealso had a fried oyster appetizer, along with a shrimp dip that was to die for. Had a few mixed drinks and they were madeperfectly ? couldn?t ask for better.
