One of our best restaurant experiences! The ambiance, friendly staff and great food made our night one to remember. We had a... patio table with the beautiful glow of the outdoor fire table and lights. The weather could not have have been more perfect. Wecame from the Toronto, ON area to pay our respects to Alma. Frank and his staff were awesome. Excellent customer service from all. The restaurant is beautiful and the view of the water was... nice. We came here for my wife's birthday lunch. We drove in from Maine because of the great things we have heard about thisrestaurant. It did not disappoint!! The food was amazing. We had mussels and calamari for appetizers. Both were exceptional. Mydaughter had a panni sandwhich which was really good. Wife had shrimp and risotto. She said it was the best she has ever had. MyKorean chicken bowel was perfect. The creme bruelee that my wife had was perfect. Chocolate cake my daughter had was equally asgood. We were truly impressed by the food, staff, and amazing experience we had. We will be back. My wife and I took her brother and his wife - they're visiting from out of town - to Alma Nove for dinner tonight. What a... wonderful, wonderful time we had. Our waitress was a hoot - genuinely enjoys her job. They had beet salads, while I had thearugala salad. Fresh ingredients made every bite so tasty. Great way to start the meal. We got the riesling. Sweet, deliciouschoice. I don't usually drink, but this white wine I enjoyed both its smoothness and its pleasurable effects after just a fewwell-drawn sips. I like long pasta so I ordered the duck confit ragu pappardelle. I got over eating something that used toquack pretty quickly. It was so delectable, every mouthful. My brother-in-law gave me a bite of his beef tenderloin medallion. Mouth-wateringly delicious. The cube of meat I ate was seared just enough to be thoroughly enjoyed and not overwhelmedby. For dessert I ordered the bourbon banana bread pudding. It was worth the ten minute wait. Heavenly. They ordered thechocolate fudge cake. Delicious. Can't wait to go back! Read more
This restaurant was everything I expected to be., very very nice! We went on a Thursday and thankfully we could get in without... reservation. I would advise though to make one cause it seemed pretty busy. They seated us pretty quick and the hostess wassuper nice. The waiter came right away and was very accommodating. The food came pretty quick and it was amazing and very wellcooked. My favorite was the octopus. I had octopus at several places and this one was just perfect! The wood flavor was amazing!The oysters seemed a little dried, but the dessert was amazingly delicious. We liked the scenery very much and the decor. Very beautiful, elegant restaurant! Very enjoyable experience! Great service, wonderful food! We definitely will be... back! Conveniently located, beautiful water views, plenty of parking, nice walking area around - you can spend a lot of timethere. We loved a shaved sirloin sandwich, rigatoni, mac and cheese, rice with chicken. Bread with black salt and butter wasreally good! The wine was excellent. The desserts were delicious!
