I have been going to Burhop?s since I was a child. I went to get food for NYE. They had no crab cakes ready or bread. I waited... for them to roll them but you?d think you?d maybe have that stuff ready by 11 AM on a holiday where tons of people eat seafood.Took my shrimp home and got some really weird tastes. Definitely not as fresh as I remember. The dips were good but that?s aboutthe only nice thing I have to say. No selection. Staff were very kind though! Excellent seafood purveyor. We drive 30 minutes, past one other fish monger to buy from Burhops. Prices are very reasonable too,... for fish fresher than you'll get at the supermarket. Employees are very helpful, if you aren't familiar with something they cantell you how to cook it. They are worth the trip. Read more
Lobster roll wasn?t that amazing , just felt like a seafood salad on white bread. Not a lot of flavor for a sandwich that was... like $16. But I will say their shrimp spread/dip was excellent. Definitely will be back for that Read more
A mainstay in Hinsdale, remembering my mom taking me here all the time growing up. You honestly cannot find a good specialty... seafood/fish store in the Western Suburbs. Although their prices are higher than your typical grocery store, the quality isexcellent. Good selection of fresh fish/seafood and prepared foods. I'll be back! Read more

Great place to grab a lobster role for lunch! They have a nice, seasonal selection of many types of fresh fish and prepared... foods as well. It is one of the few places in Chicagoland you can buy fresh softshell crabs during the season. Burhops hasalways been very accommodating for those who want to special order many types of seafood. Way over priced. Bought 1 lb. of Swordfish cost just shy of $30.00 . Had a very fishy smell which fresh Swordfish does not.... Won't wast my money there anymore. Read more
