I have been going to J j's for years. Typically do not go to the hobart one. Was visiting at st marys so I thought it would be... convienant. Got a deep dish pizza and garlic bread. one whole side of crust on pizza was burnt. The bread had zero garlic andtasted like old butter. Not a good experience. I think I'll stick with Portage and lake station. Read more
This is not first visit there always do the recommendation and of course and dogs again eating a kitchen sink Pizza which will... fantastic! However, I ordered a three meat pizza which was pepperoni, sausage, bacon and the only received a pepperoni pizzathat was over greasy. The Hobart store closes at 11pm on Saturdays, not 1am as stated on their *current* menu. While "hours may vary by location"; one... would still expect menus to be accurate to their respective locations. Google seems to be accurate, so perhaps someone was toocheap/lazy/disrespectful to update the menus. I will take my future business elsewhere. Over the top perhaps... but restaurantsclosing early happens to be my biggest pet peeve for numerous reasons.Hopefully this post is helpful to others. ALSO-- I mayhave had a better reaction upon learning they closed at 11 had the person taking my call been a little courteous instead ofsarcastic/rude ...or not hung up on me, just a thought. I received the worse service today. It took over a hour and half for delivery. I ordered an extra large taco pizza, double order... of fries, and 24 wings half buffalo and half barbecue. Well the entire me was cold. They gave me all buffalo wings and nobarbecue. I asked for my lettuce to be put on the side. I received a very small cup of lettuce that would only be enough for oneperson for an extra large pizza. I called to complain about the wings and how cold the food was, and their response was togive me $5 off on my next delivery! Read more
received a super burnt pizza...i drove 25 mins to pick it up....i got all the way home and noticed it....they would only refund... half my money....if i wanted a full refund, i would have to drive all the way back....gas is too high for that ! no apologiesgiven to me! Read more
Ordered carryout and got 2 pizzas, one deep dish style crust(which is where the ends are folded over) and one of their stuffed... crust(which is where the pizza is covered by an entire layer of crust on top) They were both cooked perfect and tastedgreat. If you have ever had Key pizza in hammond, that's who this would be comparable to, except maybe JJs is slightly lesssalty tasting in the cheese and a little less greasy. Both delicious and now I can reccomend either without hesitation. Beprepared for a lot of cheese! This one definitely passed the cheese pull test. Very tasty. Read more
Paid $55 for pizza jalapeño poppers cream cheese fries & free 2 liter. Pizza burnt okay we were gonna deal but then jalapeño... poppers were wrong & cheddar & also burnt. Called for meal replacement & asked for all new meal including 2 liter as we hadalready poured our cups. The manager made an issue about including the 2 liter after we just spent $55 & on top of that we buynearly every week as it?s right down the street. Hit or miss. Read more
Ordered a pizza and bread sticks. Pizza was average at best. Bread sticks are undercooked, raw, and not edible. And they look... dirty. Poor quality compared to Lake Station and Portage. Only stopped here because I was in the area. Never again. Read more
