My wife and I had evening reservations for La Isla on a Saturday evening and enjoyed our dinner there. The location is easy to... find and while street parking will be difficult to find, there are parking garages nearby. The place is very nicely decoratedand has a nice vibe to it with upbeat music playing in the background. We were seated on time and while the restaurant was quitebusy, it was not full or packed. We ordered drinks, appetizers and dinner but it took quite some time for our server to attendus and for the food to come out. We probably waited about 10 minutes after we were seated to be attended, about another 15-20minutes for the drinks to come out, about another 15 minutes after that for the appetizers, and perhaps another 10 minutes afterthe appetizers for the dinner to come out which to us get a really long time but I think they were short staffed as we noticedother tables complaining about the same. Regardless we made the best of it I had a very tasty dinner and enjoyed the environmentso it did not bother us that much, but Hey perhaps what I’ve been an issue if we were with hungry children. Regardless we hada great time and the staff was very friendly so we will return back here again and hope that the service is a bit faster nexttime. Read more
This was my first visit to La Isla Restaurant Cafeteria. A very pleasant experience. It felt like a family owned restaurant,... that’s the atmosphere that we felt. It was warm and inviting. We had a slight language barrier with the waitress but no bigdeal, she was lovely. The food was fresh, tasty and came out quickly. It was a small, clean restaurant. Excellent experience here. Betty was our server and she was so kind, friendly and attentive to our table of 7. All of the food... we had was perfectly cooked with so much flavor. The drinks were also amazing- order the spicy margarita and thank me later. Theplace was closed when we finally left but we did not feel rushed in any way. They also didn’t automatically add a tip to thebill which I respect whole-heartedly because I like being able to choose what to give the waitress based on the serviceprovided.
