I’m not a big fan of breakfast sandwiches usually… mostly because the bread is usually super hard and difficult to chew.... Lisa’s use soft and chewy bread. Tried the Italian sandwich, different chicken sandwiches. All was above average in myopinion. Read more

A fair priced italian deli that offers an expansive menu of quality foods. Lisa’s Italian Deli is a go-to lunch time spot of... mine that never dissapoints. I’ve had many of their sandwich offerings and all vary from good to exceptional. The only smallgripe I have is that the sandwich contents vary depending on who is making it; sometimes packed to the brim with all the goodsand other times a little light. I will continue coming here for my lunchtime needs and recommend those looking for aquality meal to stop in too. Read more

I have lived in or near Hoboken for almost 40 years, and have partaken of many a sub/hoagie/hero sandwich. Mostly mediocre. None... near approaching the perfection of Lisa's Italian sub. Friends and I have often puzzled over what makes them so perfect: thecrusty and flavorful bread? the freshest of fresh mozzarella? the superb blend of ingredients? Likely all of these. They areVERY long, so I suggest going with someone and sharing a whole ($11.50). You will be asked "hot or sweet peppers?" Either answeris correct. I LOVE introducing this place to people. A few years ago a dining companion was speechless after her first bite anddeclared it the best sandwich she had ever eaten. For my birthday last year I had a bunch of them delivered to heartyacclaim. There are so many other likely delicious things to eat in Lisa's but I confess I never tried any of them, aside froman occasional beverage or tiramisu. When you have found the quintessential meal, why change? From the menu: "Served with ham, salami, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, onions, hot or sweet peppers, Italian dressing and oregano and pepperoni." Read more

The worst bacon and egg on a roll I've ever had. The egg was burnt, dry and flavorless. No salt, pepper or ketchup in my takeout... bag. No butter. At least the bacon was good, I removed it and threw everything else in the garbage where it belonged. Why wouldthe cook think that was OK to sell. Never again. Read more

This place is pretty good. I think they have great sandwiches and I like the macaroni salad. I got wings here once and thought... it was a mistake, stick to sandwiches. The chicken cutlet is great. Read more

Spent the day in Brooklyn and needed to feed the family. Read the reviews online for Lisa's, but that didn't tell the story of... how fantastic the sandwiches tasted. In short...phenomenal and definitely a highlight if my first trip to New Jersey. Bewarned...they have a sandwich for every appetite and desire. Fresh meats and cheeses, plus fresh bread equal a fantasticsandwich. Bonus for me...I got to show my boys the type of Italian deli I frequented in my youth. They also carry a large numberof foods from prosciutto to salami to fresh cheeses to massive cans of tomatoes. Parking is a bit tricky but it's definitelyworth the effort. Will absolutely visit again! Read more
