I've always loved Momma's. We go back to the days when it was just a pizza place. It's always a treat to bring a Momma's vigin... to see the look on their faces throughout the meal. We had everything from pulpo to Veal Parmigiano. Everything was better thanexpected. Thank you Momma's for your consistency throughout the years. Have been there for years..Food temperature hot and very good..Come hungry!! Portions are large..will be taking leftovers... home..Great for lunch the next day...Staff very helpful and very knowledgeable!! You get homemade bread the is outrageous!!Drinks and cocktails are very nice and tasty too..Very large Wine & Champagne list..Desserts are all homemade and made freshdaily..We were so full that we took our dessert home..Will be coming back!! I do not give reviews but What happened to my food? I dined in at Momma Lombardi's on 7/20 around 5pm. It was my 1st time on... Long Island and my 1st time at Momma's. I had the delectable lasagna. It was soooo good. I have never tasted any lasagna likeit. I was on lasagna cloud 9. I was not able to finish it. I had the remainder wrapped "to go". I wish that I was able to eatall of it there because what was in my "to go" tin was not what was on my plate. What happened to my scrumptious sauce andcheese? I hate to say that I was the only black person there at that time, but, I am, because I cannot believe that everypatron's leftover lasange looked like mine. Hours later I was ready to dig in to the deliciousness but when I opened the tin...Isee bare noodle! Did you drop it? Why didn't the sauce and cheese make it to the "to go" tin? Don't say the noodle soaked up thesauce because it was too much sauce to be soaked up & if so, where is the cheese? They were not at the bottom of the tin either.I did not give it one star because the lasagna can be habit forming. I tossed my leftovers and that hurt but my safety isparamount because i don't know what happened to my food. Please people, if they do not package your food in front of you, checkit before leave. Very disappointed. Spent $280+ with tip for 2 takeout orders. Ordered them the same time and they came out 40 minutes apart.... Shrimp cocktail $16, GF pasta(beyond over cooked), fried zucchini I think? Employees don’t look happy. Sorry but had to writesomething. Our go to for a delicious meal! Consistently great service and worth the wait!! ?? What a wonderful Father's Day meal and the... deserts were phenomenal!! The Mama Lombardi's Delight (made especially fresh) and the Tiramisu were absolutely delish!!! Yes,the strawberries were fresh and sweet, not frozen! Happy we were able to get a reservation for an early dinner and the serviceis always on pointe! And the bartender, had on a fun neon ticker tape style mask that flashed Happy Father's Day!! Just theperfect touch of fun among a very professional and classy group of servers!! Made us smile!! And can we also mention he makesthe best Tuscan (coconut) Martini ever!!! I'm pretty sure even Dean Martin would have approved!! Thank you for a great time asalways to all if the staff and the Maitre D', Jabar, who always makes us feel at home!! P.S. Old school Italian with a fresh look. A main stay in Holbrook. It's been awhile for me. Had an old fashion waiting for takeout.... Delicious and strong, like it oughta be. Food was good. Service is much better than I remember. The bartender was great. Goodfamily atmosphere. If you are in Holbrook, you have to stop by. Came here with a party of 10 for a family members birthday. Excellent service- I barely took a sip out of my water before... someone came to refill all the glasses around the table. The food took a decent amount of time, but that is understandablebecause of the party size. Overall, very good restaurant. Read more
