Ordered off of grubhub which may not have been smart considering its sushi but I am very picky about my sushi and I looked up... reviews for this place before I considered ordering and it had good reviews for the most part so I went a head and orderedbecause my favorite sushi place doesn't offer delivery so figured I would try a new place. I ordered the Vegas roll and it hasnow been 6 hours after I ate the food and I am very nauseous and sick to my stomach. I know it wasn't any other food becausethis was my first meal of the day besides a banana I had for breakfast. Sushi was clearly bad or not preped well. My fiance toldme he had a bad feeling about me ordering from a new sushi place I've never tried. I should have listened. I'm now up at 1 inthe morning unable to sleep due to being sick. Also the roll did taste a bit off but I didn't think much of it because a newplace could just make it a bit differently than I am used to (this is my favorite roll at other sushi places) also it didn'tcome with eel sauce which is weird because Ive never had a Vegas roll not come with eel sauce before. Take out…I went pretty early in the day and there seemed to be only 1 server so I had to go and grab my bag of food since I... waited quite a bit for her. No problem I know how it is these days. I got the chicken teriyaki. The rice and tempura veggieswere good. The chicken kind of tasted like it had been microwaved then thrown on the grill real quickly to show a couple ofgrill marks. I got the teriyaki chicken meal. The tempura veggies were super good. The portion of rice was way too small though. The worst... part was the chicken. It was super dry and chewy. It took 5 minutes to eat a single piece! I felt like I was chewing gum. I hearthe sushi is good, but definitely don't get the teriyaki chicken! For $16, definitely not worth it. Read more
I lived in Japan for a few years, when my friends come to Utah we always eat at the Happy Sumo, I like the food it reminds me of... Tokyo. The service is constantly good, never had more authentic Japanese food , and they also have so Americanized sushi rollsso no matter what your into it is very fulfilling. Read more
The food there is so good, I mean I only at the sushi specials but they were amazing! And they look delicious.
I went in there after lunch around 2 PM there is only two other customers. The service was extremely slow the rice on my sushi... rolls were stale. Took 30 minutes for 3 roles. I won’t be returning. Wasn’t worth $50 Read more
We were first in the door for lunch today. Fast and friendly. Sushi for my colleague and her enjoyed it. I had the Teriyaki... Chicken with vegetable tempura. I’m from out of town and I’m very happy with the quality and taste, portion was too much forme - the chicken was juicy and tender. Needed a little more rice. Could have asked for more I’m sure.
