We've been coming here for several years and the last 2-3 years the quality of food has been hit or miss with mostly misses. I... usually order the fish of the day taco, one grilled one fried. The grilled fish was a little larger than a silver dollar andmaybe 1/4 inch thick and DRY. It was probably 1.5 bites of dry fish, so not even enough to have a bite with each bit of taco. Iasked our server if this was smaller than normal (which I already knew it was since we've been coming here for years) and sheacted Ike she didn't know what to say. She took it back and then the manager brought it back out and said they weigh it. Twoissues with this: 1. It was more than half the size of the fried version so if they weigh it, their scale is broken. 2.Regardless of size it was DRY. Dry fish is awful and an obvious indication that it wasn't cooked properly or sat under the heatlamp for way too long. She was really put off that I wanted another taco. She ended up bringing one and it was slightly betterbut still dry. My partner was also unsatisfied with his tacos. Carnitas and the chicken BLT. There wasn't anything obviouslywrong, he just didn't think they are as good as the used to be. Last issue: the size of the guacamole has gone down by morethan half. Not enough for two people, even as an appetizer. Read more

I have been going to this place for about 2 years. I have always been happy with the service and food. Excellent! Morgan works... there for some reason. She is always the best. I would come just for her. Really good food. Excellent salsa. Read more

Marcus was our sever and he was incredible and super personable. Described and sold us on pretty much every special? and then... when the food and drinks arrived. 10/10. We had the Jalapeño Melon Margarita and the T27 for drinks, then shared the sampler.DELICIOUS, and a great view. Literally could not have asked for more. We did arrive 1530, so it wasn?t very busy. This place always has wonderful food and service. We have been back many times and will continue to do so. I LOVE the butter... lettuce salad. We all really enjoy the tacos and the queso dip. Mixed drinks are always good. Parking is easy in back. (Note: beware that though this location and the one in the mall are wonderful, the downtown location is not good). Read more

Went to Taqueria 27 in Holladay. We were seated pretty quickly and greeted by our waiter. He took our drink order then left. He... came back and we ordered appetizers, he said "Okay now I'll order those margaritas for you too." Why did you have to wait to putthose in? So we ordered dinner and he left, when he brought dinner out we asked for water. He brought out food for anotherwaitresses table about 10 minutes later and we asked the other waitress for water... he came over and said sorry he forgot andwalked away. Later we asked for the check and watched him bring food to 3 other tables without ever bringing us the check. Ispoke with a manager and our waiter came to our table and asked my girlfriend if I was complaining and that he'd been theresince 10AM. As if that's some excuse. Manager gave a small discount and our check. I would never recommend the Holladaylocation. Read more

I had never been to this location prior to my visit this day (the location downtown has just always been more accessible for... me), and to be honest, I was impressed. Great layout, the patio or indoor seating choices were both great; we opted for airconditioning. Friendly, prompt staff, tried the shrimp tostada bites (not sure it's the official name, just what my brainremembers lol), food was excellent. Would go again; would recommend. Read more

Tonight we were seated promptly in a half-bench style table. Was cozy and away from the front door where it could get pretty... cold. We ordered Cadillac margaritas, which were tasty, yet scant for the price. ($12) The traditional quacamole tasted fresh, yet was a bit bland for my liking, and the chips were a bit on the stale side. Our order consisted of the fish tacos and theturkey chorizo tacos. I really enjoyed the turkey chorizo ones the most of the two. Accompanied by some very spicy pinto beansand fairly predictable spanish rice. Everything was good enough... and the server did a good job. But... $70... pretty highconsidering what we got. I'd look elsewhere and am highly unlikely to return. Read more
