Yesterday I placed an order at Bob Evans for the country fried steak three-course dinner anda side of carrots. Firstly, I was... refused crackers for my soup. Secondly, I was given no butter for my bread. Thirdly, although the carrots were orderedseparately for another individual my chicken fried steak dinner had the carrots and corn in there, but my mashed potatoes werenot included. I ordered chicken fried steak with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and corn. Separately I ordered a side ofcarrots for another individual, not myself. However, once my order got home to me the mashed potatoes were completely omittedand instead the carrots and corn were in my container. If you?re ordering a vegetable as a side it shouldn?t be assumed thatthat means it is for the same person in the same meal. I?ve been dining and ordering takeout from Bob Evans for many years andalthough I understand times are tight currently I couldn?t imagine being told, if I were eating in the restaurant, that I cannothave crackers for my soup. Nor can I imagine being told I can?t have butter for my rolls.. But then to also discover my mashedpotatoes were omitted and the side for my son of carrots was placed into the same food container which got gravy all over themas well was the final straw. Basically, about half my order was not included. I also ordered the holy cow chocolate cake whichis supposed to come with some type of whipped topping but all I received was the cake and none of the topping. I am extremelydisappointed with this order and to ensure that I could properly bring to the attention of management that my order was soseverely botched I took photos of the meal along with the receipt where it clearly shows there was a chicken fried steak mealwith mashed potatoes country gravy and corn and a side of carrots. Normally have a really good experience here except last time, I realize it was Sunday and busy but our waitress just wasn't very... attentive, I had a hair on my biscuit, I noticed that they had two chef mikes (AKA microwaves, my husband wasn't pleased I guessmaybe we've watched too much restaurant impossible and chef Mike is an unknown LOL) we had a table of drunks by us toward theend of our meal so that wasn't fun and the waitress was kind of egg in the mind and then come over here and tell me she wasn't.But like I said normally it's a good good time good food and all that just this one time was kind of not so good and hopefullythat doesn't lead to more not so good times here. Bob Evans is the best! I got the pot roast sandwich it was delicious! I wish there was a Bob Evans near me in Texas... As... far as I am concerned the food quality beats cracker barrel hands down. Being from California I?ve never eaten at a Bob Evan?s before. Wow! What a treat! My husband got some sort of honey chicken and... I got the chicken fried steak. Yummy! The front host really had it organized and moving right along up front even though therewas a small wait. Our waitress was super nice and efficient! (I believe her name was Michelle). We love this place. Great service, Ben seemed to be the on my server on the floor. Taking orders, cashing out and busing and... cleaning in between. He was friendly, attentive and we had no issues with our food either. Food is always delicious. Restaurantwas clean and cozy.
