Listen. This is your new spot. Local, fresh made menu. Great beer and cocktail list. Initially my friend and I were at the... lake side venue, and the food coming out looked…. Eh/meh at best. Found this spot, and the beer cheese pretzel was fresh andhot. Got the Stone and Loco burger, unreal. Our bartender MH, was super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinelyexcited to talk to us and discus the menu. Go for it! Read more
The burgers I dream about while in Chicago. My first visit to this restaurant was last year while traveling through Michigan.... But since then, I knew if we returned to Holland, I'd come back to Waverly Stone for another juicy and delicious burger. Thistime my husband and I came for the tulip festival and to attend the parade. The restaurant was packed and had almost an hour'swait. Despite being hungry after a long drive and looking for a parking spot for 40 minutes, we've decided to wait because thefood here is worth it. We've had classic medium-rare burgers, fries, and kimchi on the side. The burger was as good as Iremembered from the first time. Also, the prices seem reasonable - everything would be at least 25% more expensive for the samequality food in Chicago. The servers are attentive but don't hover over you all the time. I'd prefer outdoor seating to the diminside of the restaurant. However, on the day we came, it probably was for the better, considering the crowds. Read more
This could very likely be one of the best meals Holland has to offer. If you’re looking for something unique, delicious, with... beautiful presentation this is your spot. A barista had recommended eating here so we decided to give it a try on our last night in Holland, Michigan. We started with the... Octopus appetizer and it was very tasty. It sat on a bed of garbanzo beans tossed in a lemon vinaigrette. I ordered the soupwhich was a beef stew. It was really under seasoned which may be a northern thing, but being from Texas I am a huge fan of boldflavors. I also orders the wedge salad with the green goddess dressing. It was good and exactly as expected. My husband chosethe chorizo burger and loved it. I ordered the roast beef wrap and it too was under seasoned. I wanted the horseradish sauce tobe bolder and more flavor somewhere. All in all, the octopus appetizer and the chorizo burgers were winners. The staff wasgreat and attentive even though it was busy. Had an excellent dinner experience here tonight. Our waiter Dylan was very attentive and welcoming as were the hostess and other... staff members. The ambiance is very relaxing and featured spacious seating areas and warm, low lighting. We ordered cocktails,and I had a Rye Smash which was a rye old fashioned with a great fig simple syrup. I ordered the Norwegian Salmon entree withpork fat fingerling potatoes in a wonderful tomato onion sauté that was grilled to perfection! My husband loved his ChickenNaan Bahn as well.
