Arrived and it was closed. No answer either. Google said it was open just to arrive and see otherwise.

Attended a baby shower here today (on a Sunday) and was treated to their Walnut Gouda salad with Chicken Salad sandwiches for... all guests. Amazing! Best salad I've eaten in YEARS and the sandwich was super fresh & very tasty too. I only wish they wereopen sooner than Wednesday so I can buy more. Read more

Calavera coffee is the greatest! Wonderful service, food, and environment. People are respectful and the physical place is... really cute. Evan makes great coffee, and the lavender latte (or Purple Haze to some) is awesome as well. Read more

A bit overpriced for what you get. $11 for a sandwich that is worth $7 in my opinion. I know rent must be high in downtown... Hollister. I've never had the soups or salads here so cannot confirm their quality, but the sandwiches are average. I got thereuben today, and the meat and cheese were cold. I've had many a reuben from Alabama to Texas to everywhere in between, andnever have they been cold. The quality of the products are there (bread, meat, cheese), but they need some work/TLC withpreparations. People are friendly, and the cookies look tasty btw! Read more

At 11:30, we just beat the lunch rush we're every table of the small room was filled. It was a convivial group. Place your order... at the counter. But it took an extraordinary long amount of time for the food to be delivered when it was a soup and salad and asandwich with no bread. The potato leek soup had Bean skins in it like it was actually the potato kale bean soup but prettyindistinguishable flavor. It was more comfy texture than delicious taste. My friend had a roast beef sandwich that had nobread. They were supposed to bring the bread on the side because the soup and salad really need some sort of crust, crostini orcracker. The sandwich was not plated very appetizingly. Just squares of lettuce iceberg chunked on top, covering everything.Seemed to be a couple thin slices of meat inside with red peppers and pesto. She said it was tasty but it was not visuallyappealing I must say. Downtown Hollister is still striving for an identity. The concept of the restaurant is terrific it justneeds perfecting. And much better quicker service. Read more

The Reuben was good with just the right amount of components for the flavors to blend perfectly, however I was surprised it was... served as a cold sandwich. I think the proper way to do the sauerkraut version is griddle that sucker with some butter to crispit up, melt the cheese, and the meat gets slightly warmed through. If you are gonna serve it gold do it with cole slaw ????. Read more
