Sushi was okay, service was exceptional. They managed a large party with grace even though we stayed late.

They have the cutest Sushi maker (I think he is the owner). Food is amazing.

Staff was super friendly and very attentive! Food was great at first until My issue happened?My biggest issue was there was a... lot of small fruit flies in the back right side, and they only appeared once our drinks and food got there. One fell in my beerand didn?t make a scene, they replaced right away. Then two more flies were flying around our rolls and one fell in my beeragain! I very discreetly let the staff know of the situation in a soft voice to not bring attention to us. I Did Not request adiscount, But an apology from the manager or owner would have been nice, none was given? Even a coupon for a next time visitwould have been nice. For a small town like Hollister and to have had quite a fair taste of Japanese restaurants both in Japan and around the world,... this place is not too bad. A wide range of sashimi and fairly fresh. The dinner set was surely worth the value. Wasn?t tooimpress with the roll that came with the set. Will for sure try the sushi and other rolls on the next visit.
