Been my neighborhood safeway as long as I been alive, but when it?s busy it?s super crowded lines get super long, & I feel a lot... of pressure by the people behind me to speed it up, cause I usually buy the whole store when I?m grocery shopping, but there?sonly like 2 registers and about 8 self check-outs. Great grocery store overall. Probably the nicest out of the handful we have in town. Wonderful selection. The floral department... is one of the best. BUT...my wife bought a couple of pieces of rotisserie chicken from the deli last week and they ended upbeing totally rotten. I mean fished-out-of-the-trash rotten. Couldn't really smell how bad it was until she put them in the car.Once we got home we found the source of the smell and in the garbage they went. Read more
It's a friendly small town market. Store staff is helpful and courteous. I do most of my grocery shopping there. It has improved... recently by adding refrigerators with doors for cheese, butter and other dairy items. Also, beer and wines are also enclosed inrefrigerator with doors. Read more
This Safeway location is awesome, store is clean, restrooms are clean, everything is always full and stocked, parking lot is big... and always clean, and is nice to have a gas station too. The only reason why i gave three stars is because cashier didn?t greetor say hi or anything, and didn?t say thank you not even a bye either. I personally don?t mind that but i believe is part ofcostumer service and part of his job. Read more
ASK AND DOUBLE CHECK Came on 8.28 to buy a whole roasted chicken, but they seem small, so I saw the fried chicken on the deli,... 16ct /$17.99. Got home, open the bucket, only 9pieces in there :( We were celebrating my mom's bday, I couldn't go back becauseher and the family arrived. Read more
I haven't been to Safeway in Hollister before. I was very impressed, it will probably be my new favorite grocery store.
