Located in the Hollywood Festival Shopping Center, Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs is a small pizzeria that offers a variety of... pizzas, salads, oven baked subs and pastas, chicken wings, chciken tenders, breads, and desserts. You can also have your pizzacrust flavored with your choice of onion, garlic herb, cajun, butter, ranch, butter cheese, sesame, and asiago cheese. It'sbeen six years since I last been to Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs, and to be honest, I'm not that impressed with how the businesswas running. The staff seemed to be swamp with taking phone orders, making and packing the orders, as well as getting the orderaready for delivery that there was no main person at the counter to take the carry out orders...so there's was a wait. When itwas my turn, I ordered a 2-topping pizza and 8-pcs wings for $17. The pizza was baked nicely with a savory tomato sauce, toppedwith fresh ham & pepperoni, and crust flavored with garlic & herbs. I previously stated on two reviews that I wouldn't orderwings from a pizza place, and once again, I've been proven to stick to that statement. I opened the box to my disapproval ofeight very tiny wings, which was too spicy for me to eat. I didn't know their chicken was buffalo style. When I checked theirmenu online, that was the only way their chicken was made. I gave them all to my son. Their bread was ok, I just didn't like theseasoning that covered it. After managing to cool the burning sensation in my mouth, I'm not sure if I'll ever return to HungryHowie's. The food overall didn't do it for me. Read more
Was there with 3 young kids. Very nice girl behind the cash register and very helpfull. Unfortunately only 1 table outside. I... would put another for some more eatins potential and just a little paint on the store front and a concreet powerwash, will makeit more inviting . Pizza was good. No problems. Even fed a lady racing around in a wheelchair begging for money, but gave herfood and drink. She luved it too. Good lesson for the kids. Giving makes you feel good. All together, well run franchise. I no longer buy at Hungry Howie's because of a very negative experience I had there. I placed my order online and went to pick... up my pizza about 15 minutes later. The cashier asked for my credit card, which surprised me because I thought I paid for itonline. I gave her my card, got my pizza and went home. A few days later I noticed 2 charges for the same amount on my bankstatement. I tried to reached customer service 3 times and left messages and got NO RESPONSE. So basically I was charged 2 timesfor my order and still waiting for my refund. (Not holding my breath.) Read more

Placed an order through the app, noticed that when I was about to check out, it didn't give me the option to see where my $27... pizza is going. So I went to my saved address, and changed it to where I am NOW, then I restarted my order and placed it. Anhour later I'm calling them because my pizza never came, just to find out that not only did they still send it to my OLDaddress, they said it's MY fault for not telling them my address when 1. How was i supposed to know that they would send it toan address that is no longer on my account? And 2. The app NEVER gave me the option to verify my address. I looked at my accountand it IS showing my NEW address. Update: Called again, a dude who referred to himself as "Bob", who claimed to be the manager,repeated the same thing, and that he is unable to do anything, not give me a refund nor send the order to the address I have onthe app. THEN this lady who refused to give her name again refused to give the number for their corporate office, as well asrefusing to give the store number. She then HUNG UP on us. So we got corporate office's phone number online, and pulled up thestore number from my order on the app. I shall see if anything is done about this blatant theft and abysmal customer serviceskills.
