This long standing homestyle cooking restaurant still has the touch. This location I think is the last one standing. The food... is still very good, tasty just like grandma's and mom's house. The different varieties of meat from pork to fish was fresh, andnothing was bland. Seasoned so well. Vegetables and amazing desserts and fresh salads. This cafeteria style line up is greatbecause you don't sit down and order and wait for your food. The meals are priced equally to the portion of the food you get.The floor waiter was super nice and very attentive. The only thing is the restaurant was warm. The AC was not sufficient for theheat. Definitely a winner! I lived in Texas for years many years ago. We used to go after church all the time so I was excited to see... there was one in the area we were in. I wished I could have ordered one of everything. Everything was delish. The chicken friedchicken was cooked just like Japanese chicken katsu (iykyk). The fried fish was good, so was the Mac and cheese. I love hush puppies, but the candied yams stole the show. I was pleasantly... surprised by the price. I was too full to even touch the desert. I ate at Piccadilly for dinner tonight with a couple of friends. I was so happy to have Merril as our server. We really enjoyed... the delish food, and having Merril our 2nd time. Merril is amazing.
