Had dinner. Ordered my 6 yr old a plain steak taco.$4.50 which is fine. They charged that and an additional $4.00. So $8.50 for... a plain steak taco. Lmfao. I asked if it was right and they said yes nothing we can do about it. And a $2.00 charge for cheese.I asked about that too. Waiter said Oh that?s for the other table. Taco was not even good. Staff is excellent but the owner is so unprofessional and rude. Came here 3 times - even bought a bottle twice and the last... time - we had enough with his attitude. We spent over $300 ion dinner and we were willing to spend another $300 on a bottle Butwe ended up leaving after the way he talked to us. Since the minute we walked in - he tried to give us a hard time or justcomplicate things for his customers - yes, he?s the guy at entrance. His arrogance will not get him very far in business. I went to visit this place for the first time recently. I loved the atmosphere (nice booth seats, music), so it was quite... cozy. The food was delicious. I tried their Rubi burrito, which was tasty and well worth the meal. Great food to try it out, sonot disappointed at all. Overall, I enjoyed the dining experience. To the owners of Rubi Agave, your restaurant has been our favorite with all local restaurants in Homer Glen, we have eaten there... and ordered take out numerous times and have been extremely pleased with your food. Please understand this review is definitelynot about your food, but due to an apparent process that can only be looked upon as utter greed. I'm unsure what kind or type ofcustomers you have been having to demand money to make a reservation? We attempted to book dinners for a party of seven todayand you are asking for $25 non-refundable fee to make a reservation???? What is wrong with you all?? Sadly due to this, wedecided to take our group and our business to another food provider. It's unfortunate that you all are driving away loyalcustomers with your process? Hopefully you will all reverse this policy, unless getting money from your customers for nothing,is your main drive here....its sickening....really sad here, cause we love your food....definitely hate your policy!!! First visit to Santa 's Rubio Cantina. First impression was poor due to greeting at entrance. However the drinks were good, the... food was delicious, didn't disappoint. I felt a favorable impression when I left. There was plenty of parking, clean restrooms.Didn't particularly care for wait staff costumes. I got the feeling it was all about the money to be made over customersatisfaction. I haven't decided if I'm going to return, or recommend this place.
