Do yourself the favor and do not come to this location at night time for it is a hotspot for the type of clientele of certain... neighborhoods you do not want to mingle with. Between stumbling drunks, people clearly under the influence of substances andlouder and Obnoxious people jumping out of their cars going up to the window complaining about their food and throwing theirfood at the staff there's a typical Friday and Saturday night here maybe even during the week. Drive past this dump and do not stop! I guess since it is in a neighborhood not considered to be "well-off", they give bottom of... the barrel food. I ordered a 5PC chicken tender, a number 1, large, with a strawberry fanta. The best part of that meal was thefountain drink. The lettuce and tomato was wilted and old. The burger patties and fries were stone cold. Checkers fries normallyhave some fluff to them. They fried those fries last night and reheated them. If you want Checkers, take the drive. Head Northon US1 and go to the one off of SW 168 Street. You even have to pay 75 cents for a small size of ranch for your tenders. I hopethis place goes out of business. Read more
This particular Checkers is a nightmare to say the least. The slowest place ever to serve. Employees are lazy, no energy.... Managers don't care. Seems they can't handle their position. I would never go there. Read more
New automated ordering is ok. Fine things like no lettuce and stuff it doesn't compute but overall better than someone who... sounds like they don't want to be there. Management was engaging and nice. Food still needs some work. I ordered 6 sandwiches,4 of them fried chicken and fish and they were not hot at all. Edible and still good tasting but temp wise needs some work,over all, a great improvement. Read more
???? Consistently taste very bad, beef is always stale and fries are never fresh. Funnel fries were just soggy. No bueno. No... standards at all when it comes to the food and I have been here multiple times and it?s always the same. I have been to othercheckers that are farther and have brought the food to my house from farther checkers and it still taste better even though itis cold, now that?s bad. The first problem was that I was ignored at the drive thru order box. I drove up to the window and ordered there. The food at... the Homestead Checkers had been high quality. Something has drastically changed. The once crispy flavorful fries were limp andsoggy. The chicken bites were also dripping in grease and not well cooked. I dont ever leave reviews but Im frustrated enough now to leave one. I waited in line for about 45 minutes to order and get my... food. Truthfully I would have left the line after 10 minutes if I had a way out. While I was annoyed, fine I understand-its abusy place. I dont expect michelin star quality from a fast food drive thru but to sit in line for 45 minutes and to recieve achili dog with less than a tablespoon of chili? Absolutely ridiculous. Read more
0 stars* - All i have to say is, DONT eat here. You WILL be disappointed. The lady working who opened the window looked... miserable working there and comes off rude. As soon as she opened the window you can immediately smell old fryer oil as if thefriers haven?t been cleaned in weeks!! The smell was extremely strong. After waiting about 5 minutes for my order a man handedme the food and i can immediately smell the odor coming from the bag. When i opened the bag you can tell the fries are extremelydark, smelled horrible and tasted awful. They were not edible. This is a safety and a health hazard to the employees and thecustomers! I basically come here just for their delicious fries and was extremely disappointed. ** update: I have already triedemailing checkers directly.
