Cold stone in Homewood use to be one of my favorites. My husband and I recently patronized the business. The floor, walls behind... where they make the waffle cones and windows were dirty. The new manager wasn?t very friendly. We could tell that it has changedmanagement and not for the better. I will drive to Orland Park facility and pass the convenience of my neighborhood. I hope thatthis business gets some TLC ASAP. In the shape it?s currently in I would not advise anyone to go there. Read more
Decided to walk to this location for a shake. It was a decent walk, about 2 miles. It was a Friday after dinner and I wasn't the... only one with that idea. The place was packed and there was only one person working. Putting together a cold stone order iskinda labor intensive. To her credit though, the lady behind the counter was putting in work. The line was long but the waitcould have been much worse. Based on service alone this review would be 5 stars. However, the shake was not good and that madefor a long walk home. What's worse is that Culver's is closer and their shakes are much better. TLDR: If you're in Homewoodwanting a shake, don't go to Cold Stone Creamery. Read more
*Wanted to give 3.5 stars but it wouldn't allow me to do so.* I went in close to closing. It was the holiday and lots of people... stood in line. As I got closer to place my order, I heard an employee tell a customer they didn't have many options. Despitethis, and the manager leaving the 2 employees to deal with a long line(that kept growing)...people coming to pick up call inorders that weren't filled, they were somehow able to keep flling orders. One of the employees was clearly frustrated butapologized for his mood...made the transaction that much better. I ordered a Custom cake for my daughter's birthday. When I picked up the color was wrong. I chose green it wasn't that color.... They went ahead and fixed best they could because I was told they were out of green food coloring?? Ummm ok.(see pic) Thechocolate frosting looked grey. I was told that was because it's vanilla buttercream frosting mixed with chocolate ganoche.Which is really not chocolate frosting. (See pic) I went ahead and took it home because I ordered this on Nov 24th and neededfor Nov 27th bday. So the day of her birthday, I cut open and serve because I have people over. Well the cake doesn't have theright ice cream(cookie dough) and has no middle layer (fudge). I call the store and told her the problem. She took name andnumber and said manager will call me back. No call. Nothing. Your charging 40 something for. CUSTOM CAKE! which was NOTprovided. Huge Disappointment!!!! Don't advertise a product you can't provide. I've been here a couple of times. My most recent time was two days ago. They are friendly and fast.
In line, African American lady customer in front of me hands the lady with the blonde long hair her phone to see a coupon. Me... (Biracial) Then grabs my waffle bowl without washing her hands, I told her u using your bare hands after holding customercellphone. She looked at me like I was so wrong hello (germs, covid etc). Then when a white man comes in she now want to washher hands. Let that sink in Google review. Read more
