Immediately felt transported to a small French/European cafe. The breakfast sandwich was incredible! Laid on a crispy... baguette, the eggs were perfectly runny with ham, greens, tomato?s and garnish that all complimented each other to create asimple, yet complex flavor. My son had a fresh baked cinnamon roll which he rated second to only his moms ???? Who would?veguessed that in Honesdale that this beautiful cafe would exist?and yet it does. Don?t miss out on this gem!! Read more

After waiting for 10 minutes to even be noticed for our order, she told me it would be a little bit of a wait. As I looked... around 5 tables with customers as her and her partner took turns creating the meals. Once she addressed me I could instantlyfeel that I wasn't the ideal clientele. She seemed bothered as I explained it was our first visit to her place. She did notwelcome me or add any suggestions, just handed me a menu and I asked if I should be seated and she said I could sit at anytable. We chose a few drinks before we sat. A cappuccino and a mochachino, they were quite flavorless and im not one who likessugary drinks. They tasted of old coffee and cocoa powder. We then ordered ham & Swiss and the French onion soup as we didn'trealize until reaching the register it was cash only. The people who came in awhile after us received their food before we did.(Note: the ham and Swiss wasn't even cooked it was basically a salad and ham and Swiss piled onto a tiny baguette. Best eatenwith a fork) the soup was way too salty and the cheese had to be cut with a knife it was so tough and thick. Lastly the decorwas as if they raided a salvation army store. The cases that we assumed would contain food contained junk tchotchkes, servingtrays, and the occasional desserts. The overall experience in my opinion was miserable and we will not be returning and do notrecommend anyone under the age of 50 return either due to likely being subjected to discrimination for your age. The food was decent.. However the restaurant owner seemed disturbed to have people arrive for in house during her busy lunch... take out time. It was also 90 outside and my son had a little bit left in a water bottle which she told him we couldn't haveinside. Apparently you're also not allowed to look at the chalkboard because I got told about that too. My son and I found it a rather uncomfortable experience. It's a shame because I was so looking forward to ordering patisserie items for desert aswell be we opted to get out of there. Read more
