Superb. The food was excellent and the views are amazing. Absolutely beautiful interior which provides guests with a feeling of... nobility. Staff was excellent and the food equal to their skill. Wonderful evening all around. So far the best dining experienceI've had in Waikiki. Outstanding. Read more

It lives up to the hype! Get in there! You may feel under-dressed if you don't show up clad to the 9s, but the food here is... absolutely divine and not at all over-priced for the quality presented. I've never seen a place dripping with elegantpresentation that actually lives up to its "hype level" as much as this place DID. Everyone from friends to Uber driversrecommends you get here and try the food, especially brunch. Well whether it's dinner or brunch, service is attentive and thefood is absolutely delicious. Their butter is I would say a step below Michelin star, but it's so famous they let youspecifically order JUST the butter as a take-away item with your food? Bizarre. Anyway, the pastries are probably top 10 I'vehad in the past few years and were made with absolute precision, quality, and care. The ingredients for everything are fresh andsucculent and seafood certainly delights here, as it's literally on the water. The view is splendid, and it's relatively quietboth indoors and out. I would say overall the surrounding area is not that interesting and it's quite industrial; you won't betaking a casual walk around, but it doesn't matter - focus on the restaurant and really enjoy. Parking situation isn'tdifficult, and the service from door to table back to door is just splendid. Both locals and tourists know this place is thereal deal. :) High marks from us. Dined here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and could not have been more pleased. A romantic atmosphere (we dined on the patio... but dining room equaled in ambience) The service was so hospitable and respectful of our conversation when approaching thetable (huge plus in my book!) They also don't rush you through service. We considered the food to be better described as art.Absolutely delicious. It's on the high end for price but considering the freshness of ingredients and thought put into eachdish, I considered the cost to be a bargain... Wish I had more hands so I could give this 4 thumbs up! We will definitely beback and tell anyone visiting this is a must for romantic dinners. Read more

Such a classy place! The service was spot on and the food was delicious. It is on the expensive side, but totally worth it. I... got the NY strip and the honey lemon tart. Both had great flavor. We also got the scallops appetizer and they were so yummy. Theview of the ocean is beautiful and the building itself is pretty. We went for a birthday and they gave us a cute plate with amessage in chocolate. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great seafood and drinks!! Read more

Wonderful service and impeccable food. Random note: the area the restaurant is located at has a lot of cats around the area. But... the views are lovely, especially at night and everyone was friendly. The drinks are good. I honestly zoned out eating everythingbecause it was so delicious. Thank you for the wonderful engagement dinner! Read more

The service and food were very good! My favorite thing about 53 by The Sea is their dessert. We always order a bunch of dessert... to share so we can taste a bit of everything. The fries and salmon were so good. But I would not order the poke again. You caneasily get way better poke for cheaper on island. Read more

Perched at water's edge with a million-dollar view of Diamond Head and Waikiki’s skyline, 53 by the Sea has the perfecting... setting to a one of the best fine dining experiences in Oahu. As you enter, you’re swept away by a grand staircase and marblefloors that lead you to sweeping views of the Pacific’s crystal waters until you get swept by the amazing food as well.Although your wallet might try to stop you, every item on their menu is worth trying. We started with the Lobster Bisque andFrench Onion Soup, both of which were some of the best of their kind we have had. Their texture was perfect and the ingredientsmixed quite tastefully. I then moved into the Pan Roasted New Zealand King Salmon. This salmon was exquisite as well with agreat combination of flavors to accompany the high-quality salmon. Last but not least for the savory foods was the Pan RoastedFilet Mignon. This very tasty cut of steak was done quite well too, cooked to perfection and given some extra taste by theappropriate accompanying plate offerings. Last but not least, three wonderful desserts that were all wonderful in their ownright and ended a night of great food quite well. The last highlight of the evening (but not the least important one) was theservice. It was wonderful from start to finish, from the hostess to the water service. Every single member of 53’s team madethe experience unforgettable. If you are in Honolulu and are looking for a place (almost a palace in this case) to celebrate aspecial night, 53 by the Sea is the right place to be. Read more

The entrance to this place really sets up the interior with the stunning staircase and high ceiling. The outside view is great... and it perfect at sunset. The food is delicious, with a great seafood selection that comes out perfect. They also have a greatdrink and wine selection. The service here is very good, they are eager to help. Would recommend eating here before the sun goesdown. The sunset view is great for pictures. Read more
