Exceptionally tasty food. We had the soft shell roll, mushroom eggplant dish and fish (not pictured). Some service people very... attentive although it varied. We ate at the bar as the tables for 2 were so close they would not allow for conversion. Wassurprised when one waitress commented half way through our meal she thought our chairs were not placed close enough to the barfor her liking. Read more

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Decided to try it because it was well reviewed. Turned out to be a disappointment. ... Food quality was very poor. The sashimi and seafood did not taste fresh. The fried food came out cold. Had a stomachache and, diarrhea after the meal... Read more

Top notch authentic Japanese food! Bobby and his staff provide excellent service. Photos don't do justice. You just need to go... and eat there. Be sure to make reservations. Read more

Its been a while since ive been here, and the renovations has changed this place drastically. It's all brand new. I was a bit... disappointed at first' but our server was exceptional, and the food even better! The old charm is gone, but change is good. Andthis change did not disappoint in my taste buds, just my memories. Read more

The best food, hands down. Incredible experience. Fun, casual, family atmosphere but with absolutely the best izakaya food ever.... The wagyu steak, sashimi, mushrooms, crispy shrimp - the list goes on and on. We are here on the first night of our weeklonghawaii trip and literally nothing else has compared. Do not miss this place!! Also.. small parking lot but there?s an overflowlot which is pretty big. Read more

The food was good and service was very quick too. We had the C course, tori kara, natto (depends on personal preference, I... personally like it), chawanmushi, beef tataki. Read more

Good price for authetic Japanese sake. Nice dishes. A bit loud atmosphere, but acceptable as an izakaya.

First visit here after their renovation. We ordered many dish but none of them really stood out except sashimi which was fresh... and generous portion. All other dishes serving portion was surprisingly very small... even smaller portion than Izakaya inTokyo... Ordered ?use? Chazuke towards the end. I tasted very bland as the stock didn?t taste like it had enough dashi taste.I would have enjoyed it with the ?tea? poured into it especially this ochazuke was like rice with hot water, plum andwasabi. Chazuke normally accompanied with few pieces of pickles... but not this place. When you order pickles set, you getbig plate full of mixed Japanese pickles. This was bizarre because it had so much pickles that even 4 people couldn?tfinish. Kinpira was disappointing as it taste like they just used the premixed sauce to stir fry the burdock. Serving wassurprisingly small. We were all surprised. Lastly it is a noisy place - very hard to hear each other. It is up to you to callit lively or noisy... I don?t recommend this place for a quiet people. Maybe it was a good place before..?? Maybe the kitchenstaff changed after the renovation .. who knows. I didn?t get to understand the good reviews. Anyway, it was casual and homestyle which is good. Not sure if I chose to go back but it was just good experience to try a new place. Read more
