I liked the service and the unique food choices however i was not to fond of the food itself. The sushi i got was way to... overpowered by the lime topping. Way too much lime was put on it which would have been fine if the ingredients were evened out.Second I got spicy ramen and the beef in the ramen looked like ground beef and it was not spicy at all. We even asked foradditional spice to be thrown in and got hot sauce which tasted like tabasco sauce. Sadly wish i spent the money elsewhere; theramen could have been better Read more
11/2022 Been to LBD before and had a great time so we wanted to do a return visit. Ww did the Shishito, Edamame, and Mini Tacos... this time. All good as the last time. I'm doing a review under Jinya Ramen this time so they get the accolades. Please refer tomy review under LBD as well. Very cool place, and apparently, a live DJ every Friday. This time we ordered the Vegan Ramen andtime tell you the truth, I forget the name of the 2nd Ramen in the attached pic, but it was onolicious! I liked the idea thatyou could enjoy it at the bar, with its own atmosphere. Worth a good try peeps! Even give it a 5 purely because of the Ramenand Tacos, my new favorite! P.S. It is nice overall, service is good and food is nice, just nothing that like wows you for the price and location. Menu feels... like combo of a TGIF and Chinese restaurant. Takoyaki were literally swimming in mayo, but it is nice they have vegan options. Read more
Pros:The ramen was better this time when I went. I enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant. The prices aren’t that bad and you... get a decent amount of food. Cons: Some of the waiters are rude. They don’t really check on you as much either. Read more
Is the ramen supposed to taste sour? As a person who loves lemonade I thought the ramen was supposed to taste like sour dough. I... have been told otherwise that is wasn't supposed to taste like that. Service was great, the attention to detail was nice, kindof expensive tho. Read more
Long waits for seating and food, our party took about 1hr 20min to get seated on Friday evening around 6pm. Food took another... 30ish minutes to come out after we had ordered. Apps came out after main courses, and not all of us got our food at the sametime. Several orders were also wrong. Some food didn't come out at all. They also said they didn't have enough water glasses? Soour waters didn't come out until after we had already finished our main course. The ramen was good, but very expensive. Around$18-19 per bowl! Short: overall good experience and amazing atmosphere, besides our wait times. Food was fairly decent! Long: We were seated at... the bar area due to not having a reservation, but staff failed to inform us that there are different menu options when using thebar( you cannot order ramen). Our bar area waitress (Aimee) was Amazing. She initially informed us of the dining options, andcontinued to keep us updated on the status of our table that was being prepared inside. It took about 36 minutes from the timewe sat outside until we were able to get a table inside. We weren’t announced either time we entered either area. It tookanother 37 minutes from the time we received our menus to the time we had 1 of our 2 drinks delivered. Another 10 minutes afterwe recieved our second appetizer, and 5 minutes after that we recieved our ramen. It was fairly decent as previously stated.After requesting to speak to Chris the manager, he promptly came to our table and kindly greeted us and informed us of his highstandards and apologized for the wait times. He was very professional! If The wait times had not been as long, the entireexperience would’ve been more enjoyable, but it took a very long time for us to get the things that we ordered. Been to other locations and this location twice. First time was during opening week, waited 30 minutes to get a glass of water... let along ordering. Went back again tonight. Place was dead. Was sat promptly by the friendly hostess. Waited ten minutes, notone staff came to say hi or brought us any water. Just kept walking past us. We just left. Either they need more staff or moretraining. 2 stars because the food was still good the first time. Read more
