Love this place. The musubis are always warm and fresh. The egg is a little sweet and a perfect compliment to the salty... spam. The price is pretty decent. Read more

So quick background: I grew up on Spam -- ate it all the time, and still love it! So of course I had to check this place out.... Yes, the Spam Musubi is fantastic and I highly recommend it. That said, I wasn't very impressed with their other foods, andtherefore, it's hard for me to recommend this place when factoring in the long lines that usually exist. If there's a shortline, or no line, then this is a no brainer to visit! But I can't say it's worth waiting in line an hour to experience, unlessyou're gonna load up big time on the Spam Musubi! Lines are usually out the door ( so go early, anywhere from 30 mins to an hr before they open.) great spot for tourist since... it?s literally in the heart of Waikiki and blocks from the beach. They are mini (musubi cut in half) and I suppose that is onereason why ppl gravitate towards them. They ran out of egg the day I went so can?t tell you about that. I order the plume saucewith cucumbers & it was yummy. Its very tiny inside (COVID restrictions 5 ppl inside at a time.) easy to order, would I go back? uh probably not just cause I have other spots around the island you can get Musubi from (again it?s located in Waikiki and Ican?t do the traffic, plus parking is very limited on the streets.) happy to have experienced it though. #SupportSmallBusinesses Read more

This is my first time in Oahu ever. My husband and friends all highly recommended this spot. Since our VRBO (Seashore Condos)... was literally walking distance, within 1 minute, we went twice during our stay. I legit picked this condo rental nearby causemusubi was one of the few requests the hubby asked for. We got there both at 6:45am and 7am and were second or first in line. They currently only allow 5 people in the store at a time. We checked in on Yelp and got their deal for one of the musubis. Allthe ones we got were delicious. But the ones that had cheese in it were HELLAAAAAAAAA good. Only downside is that there is a lotof rice. Fortunately both me and my husband LOOOOOOOVE rice so this didn't bother us. But after eating 2 or 3, we were full. Buthey, for this price, it beats anything we get in the Bay Area. Read more

Musubi is a popular snack, invented after World War II from the prevalence of canned SPAM thanks to the US army. Personally, I... love the decked-out musubis at Musubi Cafe Iyasume, featuring grilled eel, avocado, and egg on top of spam and rice. Make sureto eat them while they?re fresh; it doesn?t taste as good when it cools and reheating it isn?t quite the same. Read more

Best musubi and onigiri in Hawaii? I think so. The line was long and they make to order, so we had a 45 minutes wait - and it... was worth it! Read more

Insanity of a wait time if you go super early in the morning. I would recommend going later in the day or to their other... location if you don?t want to wait a ghastly amount for rice balls. Tried nearly every flavor and they were all pretty good!Recommend the curry tuna and any of the other curry flavors. All in all they make a traditional and decent omusubi/onigiri. Read more
