Honestly I didn’t notice this good restaurant while I have passed this place many times. I didn’t noticed it even when I... parked in front of the Kozo sushi. It was the “Google” that made me aware of this hidden soba restaurant! Maybe if theyhave a new sign or outstanding color paint other than white, many more people will recognize this place. First time here and tried the Tantan Tsuke. No one was there to greet you at the entrance to be seated. Not sure why they have... that area as it's separate from the seating room. The soba in my opinion was not cooked enough? The soba was hard and stuck tothe teeth when chewing which I never experienced before. Requested that they please cook it more which they did withoutquestion. Over heard another guest a table away say that the noodles might be raw to the server? They were seated before usand when we left, that person did not touch her meal. I may give them another try but I won't be ordering soba. Read more

Soba is the best I've had in Hawaii. Beef tataki was also good. I recommend the ube soba because it's so chewy and smooth... compared to the standard soba. It doesn't have a prominent ube taste if that's something you wanted to know. Read more

If you’re looking to kick your Japanese noodle fix but want something lighter than a bowl of ramen Shingen Soba is a great... choice. Large variety of soba, combo with rice bowls, sushi rolls, or individual tempura picks. Ordered the tantan tsuke andadded a side of dried squid tempura and beef tataki. The cold Tantan tsuke wasn’t too spicy or overpowering and was refreshingand surprisingly light. Beef tataki was fresh and tender and the dried squid tempura was a fun snack that came with spicy mayoto dip. The special combo gyudon will satiate both your noodle and rice cravings. Next time I visit I may make a meal byordering a bunch of individual items ala tapas style. Read more

Lovin’ most of the things in here when we dine in with friends. It was a nice dinner over Japanese food and did make my heart... soothe. Food is great. Place is cleaned and prompt. Customer service is amazing. Anyone will love this eatery for sure. Exceptfor the tables though - too small for the party of four who ordered a lot of pupus. But overall, I did enjoyed my diningexperience. Since Soba is their specialty, you gotta tried them out. I highly recommend the Moringa Cold Soba. :) Read more

Heard this place was good so decided to book a table online, but when we got there they said they were too busy to check the... computer and didn’t have a table ready. They also didn’t have enough menus so they gave us one between 3 people. Apparentlythere was also one sushi chef and the restaurant was too busy so we couldn’t even order sushi either. Waitress was not thathelpful and seemed like she didn’t really care about anything. Food was decent, service and organization needs a lot ofimprovement. Read more
